A lidar point cloud coding method and apparatus convert a point cloud to video signals by using features of a lidar sensor to improve encoding efficiency of lidar point cloud coding. The lidar point cloud coding method and the apparatus encode/decode the converted video signals.

A video coding method and an apparatus initialize a context model of Context-based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding (CABAC) by using context information at a predetermined location in a previously reconstructed picture to increase video coding efficiency and enhance video quality. A LiDAR point cloud coding method and a device use pointwise prediction. The point cloud coding method and the device predict a current point to be encoded/decoded by using a previously decoded point cloud to improve the coding efficiency of LiDAR point cloud coding.

The present disclosure intends to provide a video encoding/decoding method of performing intra prediction for a current block by using luma reference samples derived based on a luma mapping function in order to enhance performance of intra prediction for a case where restored samples around the current block to be predicted cannot be used.
