Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001]The present invention relates to a hybrid golf system configured such that an approach shot is taken or a putt is made as real golf play on a real field when a virtual ball lands on or around a green during virtual golf play using a virtual golf simulation apparatus in a moving screen booth.
BACKGROUND ART
[0002]Recently, as the golf population has increased, a so-called screen golf system that allows golfers to practice golf and enjoy virtual rounds of golf using a virtual golf simulation system has emerged.
[0003]Such a screen golf system is a system in which a screen capable of displaying a virtual golf course is installed indoors, and when a golfer hits a golf ball toward the screen, the speed, direction, and the like of the golf ball are detected and the trajectory of the golf ball is displayed on the screen, and the system has been technologically evolving in terms of providing users with a realistic feeling of playing a round of golf on a real golf course, beyond the level of simply playing a game of golf indoors.
[0004]Conventional screen golf systems have limitations in providing users with the realism of playing a round of golf on a real golf course because a simulation image of a virtual golf course and the trajectory of a ball on the virtual golf course is realized only through the screen installed in front of the user hitting the ball.
[0005]In order to overcome this limitation, a so-called hybrid golf system that goes beyond the conventional screen golf systems and provides the same level of realism as playing a round of golf on a real golf course but can be realized in a much smaller space than the real golf course has emerged.
[0006]The hybrid golf system is a combination of a real field where real golf can be played and a screen golf system, wherein some of the golf play on a hole may be performed on a virtual golf course implemented by the screen golf system and the rest of the play may be performed as real golf on a real field.
[0007]For example, in the case of a par-4 hole, a tee shot and a second shot are taken through virtual golf simulation on the virtual golf course through the screen golf system, and a third shot may be taken and a putt may be made in the same manner as playing golf on a real golf course after a user moves to the real field.
[0008]Prior art documents related to the hybrid golf systems include KR10-2013-0030536, KR10-2012-0036155, KR10-2012-0036156, and KR10-2012-0009933.
[0009]As with the conventional screen golf system, the hybrid golf system also allows the user to play golf on a golf course consisting of multiple holes. That is, the user's golf play on a part of a hole is performed on the screen golf system, and the user's golf play on the remaining part of the hole is performed on the real field so that the user can play on a golf course that includes multiple holes by repeatedly going back and forth between the screen golf system and the real field.
[0010]For example, a user starts the 1st hole of a virtual golf course on the screen golf system, takes the 3rd shot, then moves to the real field to hole out with the 4th and 5th shots as field shots, and then moves back to the screen golf system to start the 2nd hole, plays a portion of the 2nd hole of the virtual golf course, then moves to the real field to play the remainder and hole out, and the play can be performed according to the hybrid golf system by repeatedly moving between the screen golf system and the real field.
[0011]However, the conventional hybrid golf system as described above has limitations in providing a realistic experience of playing golf by moving from hole to hole, as in playing golf on an actual golf course, because the player simply moves back and forth between the real field(an area where only approach shots or putting are possible) and the screen golf system, and the user's movement path from the screen golf system to the field is always the same.

BEST MODE
[0030]A hybrid golf system using a moving screen booth according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[0031]First, the construction of the hybrid golf system using the moving screen booth according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to
[0032]
[0033]As shown in
[0034]The screen booth 100 includes a construction related to a conventional screen golf system. Specifically, the screen booth 100 includes a virtual golf simulation device in which a virtual golf course image is projected on the front screen, when the user hits the ball on a swing stage 120 toward the screen, the sensing device senses the moving ball and a simulation image in which the virtual ball moves on the virtual golf course is provided.
[0035]The screen booth 100 may be provided in the form of a box or a booth with an entrance 110 on one side, and may be in a form in which all walls are closed or some of the walls may be open.
[0036]The screen booth 100 may be configured to include a screen shutter 300 on a wall facing the actual field 200.
[0037]The screen shutter 300 is an element that projects an image of a virtual golf course output by an image output device 420 (e.g., a beam projector, etc.) inside the screen booth 100 and a simulation image iVG on the virtual golf course.
[0038]The screen shutter 300 is configured to open and close a wall of the screen booth 100 facing the actual field 200.
[0039]Meanwhile, the actual field 200 may be configured to form a part of the entirety of a hole of the actual golf course, and may be formed to include a green 210 and a hole-cup 212 as shown in
[0040]In the hybrid golf system according to an embodiment of the present invention, the user performs some golf play through the virtual golf course in the screen booth 100 and the rest of the golf play is performed in the actual field 200.
[0041]In the case of golf play on a par-4 hole, a virtual golf play is performed on the virtual golf course of the par 4 hole in the screen booth 100, and golf play on the remaining part of the par 4 hole is performed directly on the actual field 200. Wherein the virtual golf play is golf play in which the user takes a golf shot toward the screen shutter at the swing stage and the sensing device senses the hit ball and the simulation of a virtual ball corresponding to the hit ball performs.
[0042]For example, the tee shot and the second shot in the par 4 hole are played as the virtual golf play on the virtual golf course in the screen booth 100, and the third shot (approach shots) and putting can allow the user to move from the screen booth 100 to the actual field 200 and actually proceed with golf play on the actual field 200.
[0043]While the user plays virtual golf in the screen booth 100, if the user moves out through the door 110 of the screen booth 100 to the actual field 200 to play field, the user feels a sense of difference rather than a sense of realism, because there is a significant difference between the virtual golf course on the image and the actual field.
[0044]The hybrid golf system according to an embodiment of the present invention provides a means and method for minimizing the above-mentioned sense of difference and naturally converting from the virtual golf play in screen booth to the golf play in actual field.
[0045]That is, as shown in
[0046]As shown in
[0047]Wherein a controller 401 of the simulator 400 may control the screen shutter driver(not shown) so that the screen shutter driver may open the screen shutter 300.
[0048]As shown in
[0049]
[0050]The sensing device 410 may be embodied as a camera-based device that senses a movement of at least one of a golf club and a ball according to a golf swing of a user. The sensing device 410 captures and collects images of the ball 1 moving as the user P on a swing stage 120 hits the ball placed on a golf mat 122 within the camera's angle of view, performs image processing and analysis on the collected image, calculates sensing information including flight parameters for the movement of the ball 1 and delivers sensing information to the controller 401.
[0051]A manipulation device (not shown) may be further provided as a means of manipulating the user to set the environment of the virtual golf simulation or to adjust the aiming during the virtual golf round process.
[0052]The data storage 403 stores all data necessary for the image implementation of the virtual golf simulation, and stores data on a virtual golf course implemented by visualizing an actual golf course and data on topographic information of the virtual golf course so that the virtual golf simulator provide data that can implement a virtual environment that allows a user to play a virtual golf round on a virtual golf course selected by the user.
[0053]The data storage 403 may be configured to store all kinds of data on the virtual golf course, or may be configured to receive and temporarily store various data on the virtual golf course from a server (not shown) through a network.
[0054]The image processor 402 performs data processing to implement an image related to the virtual golf course on the screen shutter using data on the virtual golf course stored in the data storage 403, and performs data processing so that the trajectory of the ball hit by the user is simulated on the virtual golf course.
[0055]The image information processed by the image processor 402 is projected onto the screen shutter 300 through the image output device 420 (e.g., a projector), allowing the user (P) to see the image iVG projected on the screen shutter 300.
[0056]The image processor 402 may be implemented as a modular component that performs an image processing function in one independent device, or as an independent device itself.
[0057]The controller 401 is in charge of control for all processes for virtual golf simulation. The controller 401 may perform operations and controls to simulate the movement of a virtual ball on a virtual golf course based on sensing information on the movement of the ball extracted according to the sensing result of the sensing device 410 and physics engine. Based on these operations and controls, the controller implements an image iVG in which the virtual ball is simulated on the virtual golf course according to the sensing result of the sensing device and the physics engine.
[0058]The controller 401 determines whether a requirement for beginning the field play in the actual field is satisfied in the virtual golf play process in the virtual golf course. If the controller 401 determines that the requirement for beginning the field play have been met, the screen shutter driver 310 can be controlled to open the screen shutter 300.
[0059]The user performs virtual golf play while watching the image iVG of the virtual golf course projected to the screen shutter 300 while the screen shutter 300 is closed as shown in
[0060]In addition, the hybrid golf system using the moving screen booth according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a booth moving device 500 that moves (m) or rotates (r) the screen booth 100 in the actual field 200 as shown in
[0061]Although not shown in the drawing, the above-mentioned booth moving device 500 may be implemented as a mechanical device for rotating (r) the screen booth 100 or a mechanical device for moving (m) the screen booth 100, and such a booth moving device 500 may be implemented by being installed between the floor and the bottom of the screen booth 100.
[0062]Such a booth moving device 500 may be configured to be controlled by a booth moving controller 510 as shown in
[0063]The hybrid golf system using the moving screen booth according to an embodiment of the present invention is a system in which, during the virtual golf play process on a virtual golf course within the screen booth 100, some of the play is performed on a field 200 outside the screen booth 100. Accordingly, virtual golf play in the screen booth 100 and field play in the actual field are performed for each of a plurality of holes (e.g., 9 holes, 18 holes, etc.) that constitute the virtual golf course.
[0064]The hybrid golf system using the moving screen booth according to an embodiment of the present invention may produce different holes for each hole by moving, rotating, or moving and rotating the screen booth 100 for each hole, so that when a user moves from inside of the screen booth to the actual field, the screen shutter opens to change the view of the field from the screen booth.
[0065]For example, as shown in
[0066]
[0067]As shown in
[0068]As shown in
[0069]Wherein the actual field 200 is provided with a plurality of greens (referred to by drawing number 211 as a first green and the reference to 212 as a second green) so that a different green may be set as a valid green at each position where the screen booth 100 moves and stops, thereby providing a different sense of realism whenever playing in each hole.
[0070]For example, as shown in
[0071]As described above, if a plurality of screen booths are configured to move, respectively, in addition to the configuration in which one screen booth moves, more various holes may be produced. This is illustrated in
[0072]As shown in
[0073]As shown in
[0074]In the embodiment shown in
[0075]And, the first field area 201 corresponds to the first screen booth 101 and the first booth moving rail 610, the second field area 202 corresponds to the second screen booth 102 and the second booth moving rail 620, and the third field area 203 corresponds to the third screen booth 103 and the third booth moving rail 630.
[0076]Each of the first to third screen booths 101, 102 and 103 is equipped with a booth moving device (not shown) so that each of the booth moving devices can move each of the screen booths on each of the booth moving rails 610, 620 and 630 under the control of the booth moving controller 550.
[0077]As shown in
[0078]In the embodiment shown in
[0079]The booth moving controller 550 may be configured to receive information on the progress of a golf round from the controller of the screen golf device in each screen booth and determines a position to which the corresponding screen booth will move when the next hole is played following the currently played hole. The booth moving controller may control the corresponding screen booth to move to the determined position when the current hole is completed. In this way, the booth moving controller may implement a plurality of holes by controlling the movement of each screen booth.
[0080]In the embodiment shown in
[0081]As shown in the embodiments shown in
[0082]As shown in
[0083]
[0084]As shown in
[0085]After completing the 1st hole on the first field area 201, the user(s) enters the second screen booth 102 at the adjacent Ps2-1 position, and starts the 2nd hole on the virtual golf course, and when the field play at the 2nd hole starts, the second screen shutter 302 is opened, the play can be performed on the second field area 202, and the play at the 2nd hole can be completed by playing on the second field area 202.
[0086]After completing the 2nd hole on the second field area 202, the user(s) enters the third screen booth 103 at the adjacent Ps3-1 position to start the 3rd hole on the virtual golf course, and when the field play at the 3rd hole starts, the third screen shutter 303 is opened, the play can be performed on the third field area 203, and the play at the 3rd hole can be completed by playing on the third field area 203.
[0087]As described above, after the play from the 1st hole to the 3rd hole is completed, the user(s) can move back to the first screen booth 101 to proceed with the play in the 4th hole. At this time, the booth moving controller, as shown in
[0088]As shown in
[0089]After completing the 4th hole on the first field area 201, the user(s) enters the second screen booth 102 located at the Ps2-2 position adjacent from the first field area, and starts the 5th hole on the virtual golf course in the second screen booth. When the field play at the 5th hole starts, the second screen shutter 302 is opened. The user(s) can perform field golf play on the second field area 202, and the 5th hole can be completed by hole-in on the second field area.
[0090]After completing the 5th hole on the second field area 202, the user(s) enters the third screen booth 103 located at the Ps3-2 position adjacent from the second field area, and starts the 6th hole on the virtual golf course in the third screen booth. When the field play at the 6th hole starts, the third screen shutter 303 is opened. The user(s) can perform field golf play on the third field area 203, and the 6th hole can be completed by hole-in on the third field area.
[0091]As described above, after play from the 4th hole to the 6th hole is completed, the user(s) can move back to the first screen booth 101 to play golf at the 7th hole. At this time, as shown in
[0092]As shown in
[0093]After completing the 7th hole on the first field area 201, the user(s) enters the second screen booth 102 located at the Ps2-3 position adjacent from the first field area, and starts the 8th hole on the virtual golf course in the second screen booth. When the field play at the 8th hole starts, the second screen shutter 302 is opened. The user(s) can perform field golf play on the second field area 202, and the 8th hole can be completed by hole-in on the second field area.
[0094]After completing the 8th hole on the second field area 202, the user(s) enters the third screen booth 103 located at the Ps3-3 position adjacent from the second field area, and starts the 9th hole on the virtual golf course in the third screen booth. When the field play at the 9th hole starts, the third screen shutter 303 is opened. The user(s) can perform field golf play on the third field area 203, and the 9th hole can be completed by hole-in on the third field area.
[0095]As described above, play in each hole from 1st hole to 9th hole may be performed by moving the plurality of screen booths to different positions, so that users can feel the reality of playing in different holes similar to playing a round of golf in an actual 9-hole golf course.
[0096]In this way, not only 9 holes but also 18 holes can be implemented, and it is possible to implement more holes with different shapes and paths.
