Abstract
An interactive toy including a plush animal bird attached to a slap wrist band. A drive engine in the body of the bird is connected to first and second appendages extending from the bird. When activated, the engine drives gears to move the appendages in unison in a bird-like manner to simulate wings. A microphone and sound generator record and play back sounds, and prerecorded music, songs and bird-like tweets as the wings are moved.

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0001]Priority is claimed on Provisional Patent Application No. 63/737,867, filed December 23, 2024, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002]The present invention relates to a children’s toy and more particularly, to a children’s toy which allows the user to interact verbally with the toy by repeating sounds and playing music.
DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART INCLUDING INFORMATION DISCLOSED UNDER 37 CFR 1.97 AND 1.98
[0003]Plush animal toys are well known. Slap band bracelets are also well known. However, the combination of a plush animal interactive toy mounted on a slap bracelet is novel, particularly when the plush animal is in the form of a bird which can interact with a child which can flap its wings repeat sounds and play music and songs.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0004]The invention is a children’s toy consisting of a slap bracelet with a plush bird or other stuffed animal mounted on top of the bracelet. Inside the body of the bird is an electronic component which allows the user to interact verbally with the toy. The component is mechanically attached to the wings of the bird and can cause the wings of the bird flap.
[0005]The toy is capable of repeating sounds and speech when activated. The toy has a button which when pressed causes the toy to sing a song and flap its wings. Pressing the button again causes the bird to flap its wings and make sounds when the toy is taped. Pressing and holding the button causes the toy to say “bye” and turn off.
[0006]In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, an interactive toy is provided comprising a slap wrist band and a plush animal attached to the band, A drive engine is situated within the toy. First and second moveable appendages extend from the toy. The engine is connected to move each of said first and second moveable appendages in unison when said drive engine is activated. A sound generator is connected to generate sounds.
[0007]The plush animal is preferably in the form of a bird. The appendages preferably take the form of bird wings. The generated sounds are bird-like and generated when the appendages are moved.
[0008]The toy also has a sound recorder. The sound generator can play back sounds from said sound recorder.
[0009]The toy has an integrated circuit with a memory for recording sounds which the sound generator can play back, including a bird chirping, a song or music.
[0010]In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, an interactive toy including a slap wrist band and a plush animal bird having a body attached to the slap band. A drive engine is situated within the toy body. First and second appendages in the form of bird wings extend from the toy body. The wings are mechanically connected to each other and to the drive engine to move the wings in unison in a bird-like manner when the drive engine is activated. A sound generator is connected to generate sounds as said wings are moved.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF DRAWINGS
[0011]To these and to such other objects that may hereinafter appear, the present invention relates to an interactive children’s toy as described in detail in the following specification and recited in the annexed claims, taken together with the accompanying drawings in which

[0018]
[0019]
[0020]
[0021]Main drive gear 38 extends through plastic shell 40 which carries gears 44. Appendages 42, in this case the wings of the bird, are mounted on plastic shell 40 and are moved back and forth by gears 44 to simulate flapping of bird wings.
[0022]Section 20 includes plastic shells 46 and 48 enclose a sound generator and microphone 50. Shell 48 has a series of openings which facilitate the passage of sounds through the plastic shell.
[0023]The toy is turned on by pressing and holding a button until the toy activates. The button is located on the underside of the plush animal and activates a switch in the integrated circuit seen in
[0024]The toy operates in three modes. In mode 1, when the toy is activated, the toy will repeat all sounds and speech. In mode 2, when the button is pressed again, the toy will sing a song and flap its wings. Pressing the button one more time makes the toy flap and make sounds when tapped I mode 3. The toy is turned off by pressing and holding the button until the toy says “Bye.”
[0025]While only a single preferred embodiment of the present invention has been disclosed for purposes of illustration, it is obvious that many modifications and variations could be made thereto. It is intended to cover all of those modifications and variations which fall within the scope of the present invention, as defined by the following claims.
