REVERSIBLE SWIM GARMENT WITH ADJUSTABLE COVERAGE AND ATTACHABLE COMPONENTS

FIELD OF INVENTION

[0001]The present disclosure relates to swim garments, and more particularly, to an adjustable, three-piece swimsuit.

INTRODUCTION

[0002]Many consumers purchase multiple swimsuits for different occasions or preferences, often leaving them with more swimsuits than necessary or the decision of choosing which swimsuit(s) are best for the event at hand. Such circumstance can often lead to unnecessary overpacking of multiple swimsuits, coverups, or full outfits, which poses difficulty for consumers going out for the day or vacation.

[0003]Conventional swimsuits often vary in terms of coverage, support, and intended functionality. As a result, consumers are often required to plan for multiple solutions to accommodate different activities or social settings. For example, a swimsuit designed primarily for tanning provides minimal support, making it unsuitable for athletic activities such as beach volleyball. In such instances, a wearer may need to layer additional garments or forego participation altogether.

[0004]Additionally, a consumer's desired level of coverage may change depending on the company present or simply according to personal comfort preferences. Existing designs do not easily accommodate such variable coverage preferences without requiring multiple distinct garments.

[0005]Furthermore, some consumers may wish to change the appearance or style of their swimsuits for aesthetic or fashion purposes without incurring the cost or environmental burden associated with purchasing multiple swimsuits.

[0006]Accordingly, there is a need for a versatile swimsuit that provides adjustable coverage and functionality to accommodate a range of activities and personal preferences. Such a swimsuit would allow the wearer to transition between different uses conveniently, reduce overall consumption, and provide an economically and environmentally sustainable alternative to conventional swimsuit options.

SUMMARY

[0007]In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to an adjustable swimsuit, including: a top portion including a top front side, a top rear side, a top first side, and a top second side, wherein, the top portion is configurable between a first and second embodiment, wherein, in the first embodiment, the top first side is outward facing when wornis outward facing when worn, and wherein, in the second embodiment, the top first side is inwardly facing when worn; a middle portion removably attached to the top portion and a bottom portion; the middle portion including a middle first side and middle second side; a bottom portion including a bottom front side and a bottom rear side, a bottom first side, and a bottom second side.

[0008]In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to an adjustable swimsuit, wherein the middle portion is reversibly configured to be worn in a first embodiment where the middle first side is outward facing and a second embodiment where the middle second side is outward facing.

[0032]In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a method of customizing a swimsuit, the method including: providing a swimsuit including a top portion, the top portion including a top front side and a top rear side, a middle portion, and a bottom portion including a bottom front side and a bottom rear side, the top front side having a plurality of drawstring channels attached along an approximate center of the top front side, the bottom rear side having a plurality of drawstring channels attached offset from an approximate central region of the bottom rear side, the top portion, middle portion, and bottom portion further including a first side and a second side and the top portion, middle portion, and bottom portion being detachably connectable to at least one adjacent portion; pulling or loosening the top portion drawstrings to alter a coverage area of the top portion along the drawstring channels and pulling or loosening the rear portion drawstrings to alter the coverage area of the bottom portion along the drawstring channels; detaching at least one of the top portion, the middle portion, or the bottom portion from an adjacent portion to alter a configuration of the swimsuit; reversing at least one of the top portion, the middle portion, or the bottom portion such that the second side is outward facing; and re-attaching the reversed portion or a non-reversed portion to at least one adjacent portion, wherein the above steps are performable in any order and with any combination of portions to produce a plurality of swimsuit configurations.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0049]The present disclosure relates to an adjustable swimsuit 100. The adjustable swimsuit 100 may include a top portion 102, a middle portion 104, a bottom portion 106, and one or more removably attached straps 108. The adjustable swimsuit 100 may be convertible between a first orientation and a second orientation and may be adjusted.

[0050]As illustrated in FIG. 1A and FIG. 1B, an embodiment of the adjustable swimsuit 100 comprises the top portion 102, the middle portion 104, the bottom portion 106, and one or more removably attached straps 108. The bottom portion 106 may include a bottom front side 114, as shown in FIG. 1A, and a bottom rear side 116, as shown in FIG. 1B.

[0051]As illustrated in FIG. 1A, an embodiment of the adjustable swimsuit 100 may include a plurality of front drawstring channels 118 attached along an approximate center of the top front side 110 and at least one front drawstring 120 disposed through one or more of the plurality of front drawstring channels 118. However, the front drawstring channels 118 may be attached to the top portion 102 at any suitable location such as the on opposing sides of the top portion 102. As illustrated in FIGS. 3B and 3C, the top front side 110 is adjustable by pulling or loosening the at least one front drawstring 120.

In other embodiments, the skirt 208 may include fewer or additional skirt segments. The top skirt segment opening 226 may include a plurality of skirt segment attachment members 218 disposed along a circumference of the top skirt segment opening 226 of the proximal skirt segment 220. The skirt segment attachment members 218 disposed along the circumference of the top skirt segment opening 226 of the proximal skirt segment 220 may facilitate the easy attachment and removal of the proximal skirt segment 220 from the skirt 208.
