COSMETIC CONTAINER HAVING A SCRAPING MEMBER WITH A FLUFFY HEAD

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001]The invention relates to cosmetic containers and more particularly to a cosmetic container including a scraping member having a fluffy head.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002]It is nature of women to love beauty. When applying makeup, most people choose to use a makeup tool (e.g., cotton pad, cotton swab or broad, flat scraper) instead of simply applying the makeup with the hand. Taking the broad, flat scraper as an example, its appearance and use are similar to a spatula. An individual may apply the liquid foundation uniformly on the face through either side of the broad, flat scraper. In addition to avoiding touching the face directly with the fingers and reducing the spread of bacteria, the individual only needs to wash the foundation left on the broad, flat scraper after use. It is relatively easy to use.

[0003]However, the conventional broad, flat scraper is made of metal, and both sides of the scraper are straight. This makes it difficult to reach the curved portions or more detailed portions of the face (e.g., portions around the eyes or the nose). Thus, it is required to apply makeup to the portions of the face a number of times to complete the application. This is inconvenience in makeup. Further, since the broad, flat scraper as a makeup tool is separate from the foundation as a cosmetic preparation and it is inconvenient in use or being carried.

[0004]Thus, the need for improvement still exists.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005]It is therefore one object of the invention to provide a cosmetic container comprising a scraping member including a joining section and an applying section integrally formed with the joining section wherein the joining section has a joining element, a connecting element, and an intermediate element; the connecting element is disposed between the joining element and the intermediate element; the applying section has an applying element and a fluffy bristles planted element; the applying element is broad, flat and formed with the intermediate element; thickness of the connecting element is greater than that of the applying element; thickness of the intermediate element is gradually decreased from the connecting element toward the applying element; the fluffy bristles planted element is disposed at an end of the applying element and distal the intermediate element; and the fluffy bristles planted element has a plurality of fluffy bristles; a cap includes an internally threaded section on an inner surface and a positioning seat on a bottom wherein the joining element of the scraping member is secured to the positioning seat; and a containing member including an axially oriented opening and an externally threaded section formed around the axially oriented opening, the externally threaded section being configured to threadedly secure to the internally threaded section of the cap so as to dispose the cap on the containing member.

[0006]The invention has the following advantages and benefits in comparison with the conventional art:

[0007]The scraping member is configured to uniformly apply liquid foundation to desired portions of the face. This is because the applying element is broad, flat and includes the concave surface on one side and the straight surface on the other side, and both the concave surface and the straight surface are shaped to conform to contour of the face of a user. With the provision of the fluffy bristles planted element, the liquid foundation can be uniformly applied to the curved portions or more detailed portions of the face. As a result, an easy, complete makeup is achieved.

[0008]Portability and convenient use. The scraping member, the cap, and the containing member are assembled as a unit which is easy to carry. After use, the scraping member can be disposed in the containing member and the cap can be put on the containing member for closing same. Thus, its use is very convenient.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0020]Referring to FIGS. 1 to 6, a cosmetic container according to the invention comprises the following components as discussed in detail below.

[0021]A scraping member 10 according to a first preferred embodiment of the invention is made of plastic or metal. The scraping member 10 comprises a joining section 11 and an applying section 12. The joining section 11 and the applying section 12 are formed integrally. As shown in FIG. 6 specifically, the joining section 11 includes a joining element 111, a connecting element 112, and an intermediate element 113. The connecting element 112 is formed between the joining element 111 and the intermediate element 113. The applying section 12 includes an applying element 121 and a fluffy bristles planted element 122. The applying element 121 is broad, flat and formed with the intermediate element 113. Thickness of the connecting element 112 is greater than that of the applying element 121. Thickness of the intermediate element 113 is gradually decreased from the connecting element 112 toward the applying element 121. The fluffy bristles planted element 122 is disposed at an end of the applying element 121 and distal the intermediate element 113. A plurality of fluffy bristles 123 are planted on the fluffy bristles planted element 122. An electrostatic fluffy bristles planting device (not shown) is used to plant the fluffy bristles 123 on the fluffy bristles planted element 122. Adhesive is applied on the fluffy bristles planted element 122, the fluffy bristles planted element 122 is placed in the electrostatic fluffy bristles planting device, and the fluffy bristles 123 rapidly stand upright on a surface of the fluffy bristles planted element 122 in the planting process.

[0022]As shown in FIG. 4 specifically, the applying element 121 includes a concave surface 1211 on one side and a straight surface 1212 on the other side. Both the concave surface 1211 and the straight surface 1212 are shaped to conform to contour of the face of a user or a portion of the face of the user when a cosmetic preparation is applied thereon. Thus, the scraping member 10 can be conformed to the skin in use. Further, in the embodiment of the invention, width of the connecting element 112 is equal to that of the intermediate element 113. Either the width of the connecting element 112 or the width of the intermediate element 113 is greater than width of the applying element 121. The width of the applying element 121 is gradually decreased from the intermediate element 113 toward the fluffy bristles planted element 122. Preferably, the connecting element 112 is broad, flat.

[0023]A cap 20 comprises an internally threaded section 21 on an inner surface and a positioning seat 22 on a bottom. The joining element 111 of the scraping member 10 is secured to the positioning seat 22 as illustrated in the embodiment of the invention. Other fastening techniques such as by adhesive, ultrasonic welding, etc. are also contemplated by the invention.

[0024]A containing member 30 is filled with liquid foundation and comprises an axially oriented opening 31 at an end. A plug 40 is disposed in the opening 31 and comprises a flange 41 on an end. The flange 41 is attached to the opening 31. The plug 40 further comprises an axial channel 42. An externally threaded section 32 is formed around the opening 31. The externally threaded section 32 is configured to threadedly secure to the internally threaded section 21 of the cap 20 so that the cap 20 can be disposed on the containing member 30. In an assembled state of the cap 20 and the containing member 30, both the applying element 121 of the scraping member 10 and the fluffy bristles planted element 122 of the scraping member 10 pass through the axial channel 42 of the plug 40 to dispose in the containing member 30.

[0025]Referring to FIGS. 7 and 8 in conjunction with FIG. 4, the scraping member 10, the cap 20, and the containing member 30 are assembled. In use, the cap 20 is removed from the containing member 30. The containing member 30 is filled with liquid foundation. The applying element 121 and the fluffy bristles planted element 122 are disposed in the containing member 30. Next, a user may hold the cap 20 and apply the liquid foundation adhered to the concave surface 1211 and the straight surface 1212 or the fluffy bristles planted element 122 on desired portions of the face. These are steps of makeup application.

[0026]It is noted that the applying element 121 is broad, flat and the applying element 121 includes the concave surface 1211 on one side and the straight surface 1212 on the other side. The concave surface 1211 and the straight surface 1212 are shaped to conform to contour of the face of the user. With the provision of the fluffy bristles planted element 122, the liquid foundation can be uniformly applied to the curved portions or more detailed portions of the face (e.g., portions around the eyes or the nose). As a result, an easy, complete makeup is achieved.

[0027]Moreover, the scraping member 10 of the invention is formed integrally and has a smooth surface without any gaps and uneven portions. Thus, the liquid foundation can be uniformly applied to the skin in use.

[0028]In addition, the scraping member 10, the cap 20, and the containing member 30 are assembled as a unit which is easy to carry. After use, the scraping member 10 can be disposed in the containing member 30 and the cap 20 can be put on the containing member 30 for closing same. Thus, its use is very convenient.

[0029]Referring to FIG. 9, a scraping member 10 according to a second preferred embodiment of the invention is shown. The characteristics of the second preferred embodiment are substantially the same as that of the first preferred embodiment except the following: the connecting element 112 is cylindrical. Width of the connecting element 112 is less than that of the applying element 121. Width of the intermediate element 113 is gradually increased from the connecting element 112 toward the applying element 121.

[0030]Referring to FIG. 10, a scraping member 10 according to a third preferred embodiment of the invention is shown. The characteristics of the third preferred embodiment are substantially the same as that of the first preferred embodiment except the following: the applying element 121 includes a straight surface 1212 on either side. Width of the connecting element 112 is equal to width of the intermediate element 113 and width of the applying element 121.
