The present disclosure provides a spring system to removeably affix a ceiling light fixture to a frame. The spring system includes a central bracket member coupled to the light fixture and having a top portion and a bottom portion. A first loop-shaped wing member and a second loop shaped wing member are pivotally coupled to the central bracket member, each extending away from each other and the central bracket member. The wing members having a first unbiased position to a second biased position; wherein the second biased position is represented as a spreading the wings away from one another and further away from the central bracket member. Movement of the light fixture relative to the frame causes the wing members to pivot from the first unbiased position to the second biased position.

A method of commissioning a lighting system includes: receiving a photometric plan for a group of light fixtures; receiving a digital image of a first luminaire of a first light fixture of the group, wherein the digital image is received from a camera that is connected to a second light fixture of the group; receiving LiDAR data that represents a LiDAR image of the first luminaire, wherein the LiDAR data is received from a LiDAR sensor that is connected to the second or another light fixture of the group; processing the digital image and LiDAR data to determine a position and an orientation of the luminaire; comparing the determined position and orientation to the position metrics to assess whether the luminaire is positioned and oriented in accordance with the photometric plan; and indicating whether the luminaire is positioned and oriented in accordance with the photometric plan.

An optical system is adapted to direct light rays towards a target area. The system includes a reflector with an optical chamber having an upper opening, a lower opening, a chamber axis, and a reflective inner surface. The upper opening receives light from a light source. The reflective inner surface directs the light rays towards the lower opening. A lens extending within a lens plane is oriented at a first angle relative to the chamber axis. The lens includes an input face and an output face opposite the light input face. The lens includes a first set of prisms on the input face and configured to bend the light relative to the optical axis and toward a target area, and a second set of prisms oriented at an angle relative to the first set of prisms and configured to spread the light laterally relative to the target area.

An autonomous replacement protocol implemented in a lighting control system includes synchronizing a copy or representation of settings of each of a plurality of lighting control devices via a wireless control network. The autonomous replacement protocol further includes upon powering up of a replacement device, scanning, via the replacement device for one or more networks to find the wireless control network and detect other lighting control devices. The autonomous replacement protocol further includes responsive to finding the wireless control network, transmitting a request to be provisioned to one or more of the detected other lighting control devices. The autonomous replacement protocol further includes determining at a subset or all of the lighting control devices that there is a failed device on the wireless control network. The autonomous replacement protocol further includes provisioning the replacement device based on the determination that there is the failed device on the wireless control network.

A lighting fixture may include a frame, a light source coupled to the frame, and a driver. The light source may include a first lighting segment and a second lighting segment spaced apart from the first lighting segment by a gap. The driver may be disposed between the first and second lighting segments such that air can flow into the gap and over at least a portion of the driver.

The present disclosure provides a spring system to removeably affix a ceiling light fixture to a frame. An emergency LED lighting system maintains power to an LED lighting source based on measured voltages and currents provided to the LED lighting source; rolls back or decreases power provided to an LED lighting source over time in order to increase the amount of time the battery can power the LED lighting source; executes a soft start procedure, such that the power provided to the LED lighting source is gradually ramped up during activation of the LED lighting sources; identifies a type of battery coupled to the emergency LED lighting system; cycles the emergency LED lighting system between charging mode and standby mode to reduce power consumption over a window of time; detects AC power or an absence of AC power; and/or uses a status LED to communicate information about the emergency LED lighting system with a remote device.

A multi-region lighting system for flat illumination includes one or more light sources and an optic. The optic comprises a first region characterized by a first refractive-index feature and a second region characterized by a second refractive-index feature. The second region comprises a ridge structure. The first and second refractive-index features and the ridge structure are operative to produce a composite light distribution from the one or more light sources.

A system for controlling lighting modules at an outdoor facility includes a server that will receive a service request from a mobile device. The request is triggered when the mobile device captures a barcode that is displayed at the facility. The mobile device will send user-selected operational parameters and payment information. In response, the server will generate a command to activate the lighting modules according to the operational parameters, and it will send the command to lighting modules. The lighting modules will operate according to the selected parameters. The server does not need to require any prior authorization from a user of the mobile device.

A virtual umpire system operates using data captured from one or more fixtures positioned proximate to a playing surface. Each fixture includes: a support; a radar system positioned to capture radar data for an area that includes the playing surface; and a local controller stack. The stack includes control circuitry for controlling the radar system and will, in response to receiving a command to provide a virtual umpire service: (a) cause the radar system to capture the radar data for the area during a time period; (b) process the radar data to identify, in the radar data, a specified object; (c) determine whether the object is within or outside of a boundary of the playing surface; and (d) send a result of the determining to another device of the system. Systems and methods for processing the data captured by the system are also disclosed.
