Company patents

Alcatel Lucent

Alcatel Lucent's patent strategy shows a surprising and significant decline across its entire portfolio, with its dominant "Wireless Networks" category, representing 68.8% of its patents, experiencing a drastic 100.0% year-over-year decline in 2025. This widespread reduction, including a 100.0% YoY decline in "Network Security & Access Control" and "Coding & Decoding" in 2025 and 2024 respectively, suggests a substantial shift away from new patent filings in all tracked communication technology areas.

REAL TIME BIDDING SYSTEM FOR APPLICATIONS

Filed:2014-05-12Pub:2016-04-14
Applicant:ALCATEL LUCENT

Embodiments relate to a method executed by a system comprising a real time bidding sell side server ( 3 ) and at least one user terminal ( 2 ). The user terminal ( 2 ) performs the steps of: sending (S 1 ) an update message (M 1 ) containing an identifier to the real time bidding sell side server ( 3 ), receiving (S 7 ) a bid result message (M 6 ) from the real time bidding sell side server ( 3 ), said bid result message (M 6 ) comprising a first icon and an URL indicating where an application associated with the icon is available for download, displaying (S 8 ) a set of icons associated with applications, including said first icon, and in response to an activation command of one of said icons: executing the corresponding application if said application is installed on said terminal, or accessing (S 9 ) the URL indicating where the corresponding application is available for download if said application is not installed on said terminal. The real time bidding sell side server ( 3 ) performs the steps of: sending (S 3 ) a bid request message (M 2 ) to at least one a real time bidding buy side server ( 4 ), said bid request message (M 2 ) including profile data associated with the identifier of the update message (M 1 ), receiving (S 4 ) at least one bid response message (M 3 ), selecting (S 5 ) one of the received bid response messages (M 3 ), wherein the first icon and the URL of the bid result message (M 6 ) are determined in function of the selected bid response message (M 3 ).
