A method for automatically changing a topology includes: activating a number (i) of network switches included in a stack, a last switch and first (i−1) network switches being included in the stack; deactivating one of the activated switches as a deactivated switch; decoupling the last switch from the other activated switches, and resetting the last switch; disabling settings of Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) between the last switch and a switch device, disabling settings of LACP between the last switch and a neighboring device, and performing a reset configuration operation to reconfigure a connection setting between the last switch and the switch device and a connection setting between the last switch and the neighboring device; and establishing settings of LACP between the last switch and each of the network switches that is neither the deactivated switch nor the last switch.

An apparatus for synchronous Ethernet comprises a processor, a field programmable gate array, a synchronizer, a physical layer implementor and a media accessing controller, wherein, the processor transmits a control data through a first transmission interface; the field programmable gate array receives the control data, generates a control instruction in accordance with the control data and transmits the control instruction through a second transmission interface; the synchronizer receives the control instruction and generates a synchronous clock in accordance with the control instruction; and each of the physical layer implementor and the media accessing controller receives and works in accordance with the synchronous clock and media accessing control protocol.

A computing device includes a processing unit, a memory unit, a NIC that is for receiving a packet, and a network virtualization platform accommodating a plurality of virtual network applications. The NIC, the processing unit and the memory unit are collectively defined as a hardware layer for the network virtualization platform to operate thereon. The network virtualization platform includes a virtual network layer having a UPF plugin installed therewith. The UPF plugin performs rule matching according to a packet header of the packet, and determines which one of the following steps is to be performed: offloading the packet to one of the virtual network applications in the application layer for the virtual network application to provide services; and re-packaging the packet and forwarding the packet to the another computing device.

A computing device includes a processing unit, a memory unit, a NIC that is for receiving a packet, and a network virtualization platform accommodating a plurality of virtual network applications. The NIC, the processing unit and the memory unit are collectively defined as a hardware layer for the network virtualization platform to operate thereon. The network virtualization platform includes a virtual network layer having a UPF plugin installed therewith. The UPF plugin performs rule matching according to a packet header of the packet, and determines which one of the following steps is to be performed: offloading the packet to one of the virtual network applications in the application layer for the virtual network application to provide services; and re-packaging the packet and forwarding the packet to the another computing device.

An apparatus for synchronous Ethernet comprises a processor, a field programmable gate array, a synchronizer, a physical layer implementor and a media accessing controller, wherein, the processor transmits a control data through a first transmission interface; the field programmable gate array receives the control data, generates a control instruction in accordance with the control data and transmits the control instruction through a second transmission interface; the synchronizer receives the control instruction and generates a synchronous clock in accordance with the control instruction; and each of the physical layer implementor and the media accessing controller receives and works in accordance with the synchronous clock and media accessing control protocol.

A power switching circuitry and ethernet apparatus using the same is provided. The power switching circuitry comprises an external power socket for receiving external power, an ethernet power supply pin for receiving power over ethernet, a sensing circuitry, and a power output decision module, and determines whether the power over ethernet is applied to an internal circuit in accordance with position variations of the socket pins of the external power socket.

A network switch displays a state signal of network connection ports by a combination of LEDs and includes a signal management unit, a control unit, switch members, and the LEDs. The signal management unit receives the state signal from the network connection ports and transmits data to the control unit to control each of the switch members and correspondingly output to control each of the LEDs. The state signal includes that a first state data outputs an active/inactive state via a first control signal, a second state data and a third state data output a link-down/up state and a connection speed state via a second control signal, so that the LEDs displays different states of the network connection ports based on a combination of each of the first control signal and each of the second control signal.

A power switching circuitry and ethernet apparatus using the same is provided. The power switching circuitry comprises an external power socket for receiving external power, an ethernet power supply pin for receiving power over ethernet, a sensing circuitry, and a power output decision module, and determines whether the power over ethernet is applied to an internal circuit in accordance with position variations of the socket pins of the external power socket.
