Gamifying a physical exertion session may include receiving signals indicative of exercise equipment movement repetitions, the signals corresponding to at least one property of manual exercise movements; presenting via a display, a controllable element being movable along a first axis; presenting a plurality of pacing elements movable along a plurality of second axes transverse to the first axis, wherein movement of the pacing elements corresponds to a desired pace of the exercise equipment movement repetitions; regulating movement of the controllable element along the first axis to correspond to the speeds of the manual exercise movements; determining collisions between the controllable element movable along the first axis and the plurality of pacing elements movable along the plurality of transverse second axes; and upon determination of a collision, causing a collision indication to appear on the display.

A minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine, comprising: a vertical wall-mountable beam having two spaced apart attachment points for attachment to a wall; selectively positionable arm extending from the vertical wall-mountable beam, the arm configured to receive an exercise force applied thereto, the exercise force including a torque component; and a horizontal beam shorter than the vertical beam and configured to extend transverse thereto, wherein the horizontal beam has a connection end connectable to the vertical wall-mountable beam, and a third wall attachment point, the horizontal beam being configured to resist at least the torque component of the exercise force when the third attachment point is connected to the wall at a location spaced laterally from the vertical beam.

An exercise equipment comprising: a longitudinal beam having a beam longitudinal axis; an arm rotatably coupled, at least indirectly, to the longitudinal beam, the arm comprising a rotatable element being selectively rotatable about an arm rotation axis extending along a first direction transverse to the beam longitudinal axis; a locking mechanism connected, at least indirectly, to the longitudinal beam, the locking mechanism comprising: a locking base fixedly connected, at least indirectly, to the longitudinal beam; and a locking element at least indirectly pivotably coupled to the locking base, the locking element being pivotable between a locking position and an unlocking position about a pivot axis; and a lock controller operatively associated with the locking mechanism and operable for pivoting the locking element at least from the locking position to the unlocking position.

An exercise equipment comprising: a longitudinal beam having a beam longitudinal axis; an arm rotatably coupled, at least indirectly, to the longitudinal beam, the arm comprising a rotatable element being selectively rotatable about an arm rotation axis extending along a first direction transverse to the beam longitudinal axis; a locking mechanism connected, at least indirectly, to the longitudinal beam, the locking mechanism comprising: a locking base fixedly connected, at least indirectly, to the longitudinal beam; and a locking element at least indirectly pivotably coupled to the locking base, the locking element being pivotable between a locking position and an unlocking position about a pivot axis; and a lock controller operatively associated with the locking mechanism and operable for pivoting the locking element at least from the locking position to the unlocking position.

Systems, methods, and computer readable media are disclosed for enabling guest mode gaming on a common exercise machine, which includes: providing selectable fitness movement types for performance on the common exercise machine; receiving a selection of a fitness movement type; associating a game with the selection; enabling presentation of the game; receiving a multi-exerciser mode selection; identifying a first user; receiving first signals characterizing a first set of fitness movements performed by the first user; correlating first movements of a graphical element with the first set; determining a first game success measure of the first user; identifying a second user; receiving second signals characterizing a second set of fitness movements performed by the second user; correlating graphical movements of a graphical element with the second set; determining a second game success measure of the second user; and presenting the first game success measure and the second game success measure.

Controlling an electronic exercise machine includes: receiving a prompt to initiate a varying weight routine; retrieving information about a user to determine an initial resistance; displaying a progress indicator depicting the initial resistance; adjusting power to the exercise machine to exert an initial resistance; as the user exerts forces countering the initial resistance, monitoring a plurality of repetitions; updating the display to reflect repetition completions; when motion stoppage exceeds a time threshold: activating an additional indicator depicting a reduced resistance; altering power to the exercise machine to reduce the resistance; as the user exerts forces, monitoring a plurality of repetitions; updating the display to reflect reduced repetition completions; when another motion stoppage exceeds a time threshold: activating another indicator depicting another reduced resistance; and altering power to the exercise machine to further reduce the resistance.

A minimalist wall-mountable exercise machine, including a beam configured for vertical mounting on a wall, a selectively positionable arm extending from the beam; a tension cable extending through the selectively positionable arm, a motor for applying resistance on the tension cable, and a housing configured to conceal the motor behind the beam with the beam covering the motor and the housing, such that the beam and the housing visually cooperate to conceal the motor behind the beam.
