A connector assembly includes a connector housing configured to receive a terminal and a cover with at least one fastening means for securing the cover to the connector housing. The cover features pivoting means that allow the cover to pivot around a pivoting axis during mounting on the connector housing, allowing for convenient and secure attachment of the cover to the housing.

Systems, methods, and devices for wireless charging are described. A wireless transmitter includes a source coil and an array of alignment magnets around the source coil. The wireless transmitter further includes a heat sink that is arranged in thermal contact with the array of alignment magnets to create a thermal path from the array of alignment magnets to the heat sink. In some examples, the heat sink includes a thermal interface arranged in thermal contact with opposed surface(s) of the array of alignment magnets that are opposite the active surface(s) of the alignment magnets used for magnetic alignment of a wireless power receiver.

A method is provided for determining a contour of an object with respect to a sensor being configured to provide sensor detections, each sensor detection including a respective position at the object. An initial contour including a plurality of segments is determined, each segment being related to a respective initial subset of the sensor detections. A respective surrounding set of the sensor detections is associated with each segment of the initial contour. A respective weight is provided to each of the sensor detections, each weight depending from a relative position of the sensor detection with respect to the associated segment. Each segment of the initial contour is refined by using the weights of the sensor detections of the respective surrounding set associated with the respective segment in order to determine a final contour including the refined segments for the object.

A terminal assembly includes an insulative body having a terminal cavity formed within; a first terminal disposed within the terminal cavity; and a second terminal having an interface configured to connect with the first terminal within the terminal cavity. The insulative body defines an opening extending from an outer surface of the insulative body to the terminal cavity. The opening is sized, shaped, and arranged to provide visual access to verify a connection between the first and second terminals. Several methods of assembling such a terminal assembly are also disclosed.

A radar antenna system comprises a first antenna, an additional first antenna, a second antenna, a guiding section, a branching section, an additional branching section, a filter section and an additional filter section. The branching section and the additional branching section are coupled in series in between the guiding section and the first antenna. The branching section couples the filter section to the guiding section and the additional branching section couples the additional filter section to the guiding section. The guiding section guides energy at a first, second and further frequency. The filter section couples the guiding section to the second antenna, blocks energy at the first frequency and passes energy at the second frequency. The additional filter section couples the guiding section to the second antenna or to a termination, blocks energy at the first frequency and passes energy at the further frequency.

A vehicle system includes at least one rear view device, a sensor, and at least one processor. The sensor is for capturing data relating to a vantage point of an occupant within a vehicle. The processor is configured to (i) determine, from the captured data, a vantage point characteristic and (ii) based on a classification of the determined characteristic, generate a signal for adjusting a field of view of the at least one rear view device.

A power inlet connector assembly configured for use in charging an electrical vehicle includes a housing subassembly containing a plurality of direct current (DC) electrical terminals configured to mate with corresponding direct current electrical terminals of a power outlet connector of an electrical vehicle charging device external to the electrical vehicle and a cover subassembly configured to be connected and disconnected from the housing subassembly. The cover subassembly contains electrical bus bars and alternating current (AC) electrical terminals having first ends configured to mate with corresponding AC electrical terminals of a power outlet connector of an electrical vehicle charging device. The electrical bus bars are configured to be connected and disconnected with the DC electrical terminals and the AC electrical terminals are configured to be inserted and removed from terminal cavities defined by the housing subassembly.

An electrical connector assembly includes a frame with multiple module bays, and terminal modules removably received in these bays. Each terminal module has a housing with an electrical terminal inside. A wire dress cover attaches to the frame and has posts that engage the terminal modules, forcing them into a fully seated position within the bays when attached. The cover can only be fully attached to the frame when the terminal modules are fully seated, thereby ensuring proper placement and connection.

A radar sensor comprises an antenna layer with antenna elements, and a compound radome including an absorber layer on top of the antenna layer and a cover layer on top of the absorber layer. The absorber layer has a higher electromagnetic absorption than the cover layer. The compound radome comprises a primary region in which the absorber layer has a reference absorber thickness and the cover layer has a reference cover thickness, and a secondary region in which the absorber layer has a secondary absorber thickness and the cover layer has a secondary cover thickness. The secondary cover thickness is different from the reference cover thickness. An electromagnetic reflectivity is at a minimum within the primary region for a first incident angle and within the secondary region for a second incident angle being different from the first incident angle.

Systems and methods for collaborative management of shared trip routing are provided and include receiving a destination of a shared trip, and transmitting the destination to a multi-access edge computing (MEC) device associated with a telecommunications tower communicating with a first vehicle, the MEC device storing identification and location information of a second vehicle associated with the shared trip. The MEC device communicates routing and navigation information to the first vehicle and communicates the destination to the second vehicle based on the identification and the location information. At least one additional MEC device in communication with the second vehicle generates additional routing and navigation information to guide the at least one second vehicle and communicates the additional routing and navigation information to the second vehicle, which uses the additional routing and navigation information to guide the second vehicle to the destination.
