A backlight compensation method includes performing a local dimming process according to a gamma value of a display device by a backlight module; obtaining an area peak luminance of each lighting area; selecting one of the lighting regions as a selected region; obtaining a regional average luminance value based on the area peak luminance of the selected region and the area peak luminance of other lighting regions adjacent to the selected region; obtaining a luminance adjustment ratio based on a partial peak ratio corresponding to the regional average luminance value; obtaining a compensation luminance value based on the luminance peak value and the luminance adjustment ratio; and adjusting the luminance of the selected region based on the compensation luminance value.

A display device includes the following features. A display panel is disposed in a shell and has a display surface and a back surface. The display surface faces a light-passing portion of the shell, and a first heat dissipation space is formed between the display surface and the light-passing portion. An airflow-blocking plate is disposed in the shell, and a second heat dissipation space is formed among the airflow-blocking plate, the shell and the back surface. A third heat dissipation space is formed between the airflow-blocking plate and the shell. The first heat dissipation space, the second heat dissipation space, the third heat dissipation space, an air inlet and an air outlet of the shell are communicated with each other. A heat-generating assembly is disposed in the second heat dissipation space. A first fan is disposed at the air outlet.

The present invention provides a display device and its backlight control method. The display device includes a display panel, a backlight module, and a timing control unit. The display panel has a plurality of scan lines, and the backlight module has a plurality of light-emitting units. These light-emitting units are divided into a first backlight area and a second backlight area along the scanning direction of one of the scan lines. The backlight control method includes the steps of obtaining a backlight luminance data by the timing control unit, outputting a first backlight area control signal to the backlight driving unit by the timing control unit to control the luminance of the first backlight area, and outputting a second backlight area control signal to the backlight driving unit by the timing control unit to control the luminance of the second backlight area.

A display device is provided, including a housing, a panel, two outer circulation assemblies, an inner circulation assembly, and an optical device. The housing includes a closed inner space and a first side surface and a second side surface opposite to each other. The panel is adjacent to the first side surface and the second side surface. The two outer circulation assemblies are respectively arranged on the first side surface and the second side surface, and includes an air duct element to guides an air and a fan assembly. The air duct element guides an air. The inner circulation assembly is arranged in the inner space and includes a first fan element and a second fan element. The first fan element and the second fan element are arranged on two opposite ends. The optical device is arranged in the inner space and located on an end opposite to the panel.

A display device includes a case, a display module, a polarizer, a backlight module, an air flow channel, a cover glass, a first temperature sensor, and a second temperature sensor. The display module is disposed in the case, and the display module has a first side and a second side. The cover glass is located on the first side of the display module and is disposed on the case, wherein the cover glass has a display area and an edge area surrounding the display area. The polarizer is located between the cover glass and the display module. The backlight module is located on a second side of the display module and is disposed in the case. The first temperature sensor is disposed on the first surface of the cover glass adjacent to the polarizer. The second temperature sensor is disposed in the air flow channel.

A display and a backlight compensation method thereof are provided, wherein the display includes a backlight unit and a driving unit, and the backlight compensation method includes: providing a gamma value of the display; performing local dimming of the backlight unit according to the gamma value; obtaining an area peak luminance of each area in the backlight unit; obtaining a windows size of the backlight unit and a corresponding luminance dependency of windows size; obtaining, by the driving unit, a first display luminance corresponding to each area in the backlight unit according to a product of the area peak luminance of each area and the luminance dependency of windows size; and performing luminance compensation in each area of the backlight unit according to the first display luminance. A backlight compensation method that maintains optical quality is achieved, which can maintain brightness and gamma values under different windows sizes.

A modulable transparent display includes a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel, a light modulation module, and a control module. The light modulation module has a brightness and a transparency. The control module is electrically connected to the LCD panel and the light modulation module. The control module includes a first control unit and a second control unit. The first control unit is adapted to provide a display signal for the LCD panel, and the second control unit is adapted to provide a control signal for the light modulation module to control the brightness and the transparency of the light modulation module.

The present invention provides a display device and its backlight control method. The display device includes a display panel, a backlight module, and a timing control unit. A method for maintaining optical quality of a display and a display thereof are provided, wherein the display includes a backlight unit, a display unit, and a driving unit, and the method includes: providing a preset gamma value of the display; driving the driving unit based on the preset gamma value of the display to obtain a first display luminance corresponding to the backlight unit according to the preset gamma value; performing local dimming of the backlight unit in the display to obtain a second display brightness value of each area in the measured backlight unit; receiving, by the driving unit, the second display brightness value to compare the second display brightness value with the first display brightness value for obtaining a luminance difference; and providing the brightness difference into the backlight unit for brightness compensation, so that the backlight unit has a third display brightness value.
