A conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”) may distribute deployments from the CEW across a same activation event and across different activation events. The system may distribute deployments based on a deployment list. The deployment list may define a sequential deployment order for a deployment connections of the CEW. The system may determine a next deployment connection and activate the next deployment connection based on the deployment list. The system may update the deployment list responsive to activations of deployment connections such that the deployment list is sequentially maintained between activation events.

An indication may be automatically provided based on a position of a weapon. The weapon may comprise a conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”). The indication may be provided from an indicator integrated with the weapon. The indication may comprise light emitted from a laser indicator integrated with the weapon. The indicator may be selectively activated in accordance with the position to provide the indication. The indication may be provided when the weapon is oriented in a direction in which a projectile may be deployed toward a remote location. The indication may be automatically provided when the weapon is disposed in a horizontal direction or a range of angles of the CEW. Methods, systems, and devices may selectively provide the indication in accordance with the position.

A lighted projectile may comprise a switch and a light source. The switch may comprise a moveable portion. The projectile may receive a propellant. The projectile may fluidly couple the propellant to the switch. The projectile may comprise a cavity by which the propellant is fluidly coupled to the moveable portion of the switch. Responsive to receiving the propellant, the moveable portion of the switch may move within the projectile. Responsive to movement of the switch, the light source may be activated. Movement of the switch may close a circuit between the light source and a power supply integrated within the projectile. The moveable portion of the switch may comprise the light source. Responsive to receiving the propellant, the projectile may be deployed from a projectile launcher. The projectile may further comprise a user interface by which a reset force may be applied to the switch to deactivate the light source.

A recording device is worn by a user at an incident and is configured to capture video data. During an incident, responsive to the recording device receiving an input to capture a detail frame of an object of interest, the recording device determines a detail boundary to capture a detail frame having increased pixel density and reduced field of view. Image data may be processed by an image processing module via a single configuration for video capture and detail frame capture.

A safety switch for a conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”) may be configured to operate between at least one fixed position and at least one momentary position. In response to the safety switch being operated into the at least one momentary position, the safety switch may return to the at least one fixed position. In the fixed position, the safety switch may be configured to perform a firing mode operation. In the momentary position, the safety switch may be configured to perform a non-firing mode operation.

Computer-implemented methods and systems for processing recorded data for storage is provided. An auditable device, such as a digital video camera, stores a set of recorded data. The auditable device also stores auditable event entries that represent auditable events detected by the auditable device. One type of auditable event is the receipt of information from a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system that indicates an event. The auditable device marks at least one subset of the set of recorded data based on the auditable event entries, and uploads the marked at least one subset of the set of recorded data to an evidence management system.

A conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”) may be subject to one or more environmental factors during operation. The environmental factors may impact normal functionality of the CEW. The CEW may detect an electrical property associated with a component of the CEW. The CEW may retrieve a lockout parameter associated with the component. The CEW may compare the electrical property to the lockout parameter. The CEW may determine a lockout condition based on the comparing. The CEW may perform the lockout condition on the CEW.

A conducted electrical weapon may include an interposer. The interposer may be disposed in a bay of the conducted electrical weapon or may be coupled to a magazine insertable within the bay of the conducted electrical weapon. The interposer may include a cartridge separator. The cartridge separator may logically or physically define a plurality of cartridge compartments. Each cartridge compartment may be configured to receive and align with a cartridge loaded into a magazine.

An accessory device may be configured to output an electrical signal from a conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”). An accessory device may include a conducted energy shield. A conducted energy shield may include a shield body having a receiving unit for removably receiving a CEW that is used to provide an electrical current to one or more discharge rails disposed along a forward facing surface of the shield body and configured to deliver a high voltage current to an object coming into contact with the discharge rails. Once the CEW is removed from the receiving unit the shield body is unable to generate an electrical current across the discharge rails.
