The present disclosure relates to a process for the preparation of a zeolitic material having a CHA-type framework structure comprising YO 2 and X 2 O 3 , wherein the process comprises: (1) providing a mixture comprising one or more sources for YO 2 , one or more sources for X 2 O 3 , one or more tetraalkylammonium cation R 1 R 2 R 3 R 4 N + -containing compounds, and one or more tetraalkylammonium cation R 5 R 6 R 7 R 8 N + -containing compounds as structure directing agent; (2) crystallizing the mixture to obtain a zeolitic material having a CHA-type framework structure; wherein Y is a tetravalent element and X is a trivalent element, wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 5 , R 6 , and R 7 independently from one another stand for alkyl, wherein R 4 stands for C n H 2n OH with n=1 to 6, and wherein R 8 stands for cycloalkyl.

The disclosure provides a platinum-containing three-way conversion (TWC) catalyst, and a system for treating an exhaust gas stream from a gasoline engine using the TWC catalyst. The system is configured to introduce controlled quantities of hydrogen gas into the exhaust gas stream upstream of the platinum-containing TWC catalyst article during a cold-start period. Further provided are related methods of treating such exhaust streams. Such systems and methods are useful in reducing a level of one or more of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxide in a gaseous exhaust stream from a gasoline engine.

Disclosed herein is a process for preparing a zeolite material having an AFX framework structure including X2O3 and YO2 via interzeolite conversion, the process including (1) providing a mixture including a first zeolite material having a non-FAU framework structure including X2O3 and YO2 and an organic structure directing agent selected from the group consisting of diquaternary ammonium cation containing compounds, and (2) heating the mixture from (1) to form a second zeolite material having an AFX framework structure including X2O3 and YO2, wherein X is a trivalent element and Y is a tetravalent element, and where the organic structure directing agent is not 1,4-bis(1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane)butyl dihydroxide when the first material zeolite has a CHA framework structure. Further disclosed herein is the zeolite material having an AFX framework structure as obtainable or obtained from the process, and a method of using the same as a catalytically active material.

Zoned diesel oxidation catalysts containing a higher precious metal loading in the inlet zone that the outlet zone and an equal or shorter length inlet zone are described. Emission treatment systems and methods of remediating nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter, and gaseous hydrocarbons using zoned diesel oxidation catalysts are also described.

The invention relates to a selective ammonia oxidation catalysts comprising a platinum group metal and a support comprising TiO 2 doped with 0-10% by weight of SiO 2 , WO 3 , ZrO 2 , Y 2 O 3 , La 2 O 3 , or a mixture thereof. A method for preparing a molecular sieve, wherein the method comprises forming a synthesis gel comprising an aluminum source, a silicon source, an organic structure directing agent, water, an alkali source, and, optionally a seed crystal; and heating the synthesis gel to obtain the molecular sieve; wherein the organic structure directing agent comprises a 1,1-diethyl-2,6-dimethylpiperidin-1-ium cation, and the molecular sieve comprises a framework type that is not AEI. Also disclosed are molecular sieves prepared according to the disclosed methods, selective catalytic reduction catalysts comprising the disclosed molecular sieves, and methods for selective catalytic reduction using the disclosed selective catalytic reduction catalysts.

The presently claimed invention provides a catalytic article and an exhaust gas treatment system. The catalytic article comprises platinum supported on a first support comprising ceria containing metal oxide component; rhodium supported on a second support selected from a refractory alumina component, an oxygen storage component or a combination thereof; and a substrate, wherein said catalytic article is essentially free of palladium. The presently claimed invention also provides a process for preparing the catalytic article and use of the catalytic article and the exhaust gas treatment system for purifying a gaseous exhaust stream comprising hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxide.

The present invention provides a method for treating a used particulate filter, comprising: removing particulates from the particulate filter; and introducing simulated ash into inlet channels of the particulate filter after removing the particulates.

The presently invention provides an emission control catalyst article comprising a substrate, a bottom washcoat layer comprising a platinum group metal coated on the 60 to 100% length of the substrate, and a top washcoat layer comprising a platinum group metal coated on the 60 to 100% length of the substrate such that the top coat covers at least 60% of the length of the bottom washcoat layer, wherein at least a portion of the top washcoat layer, the bottom washcoat layer or both washcoat layers comprises a platinum group metal deposited within the said washcoat layer(s) with a platinum group metal gradient such that the PGM concentration in a top-most portion of the said washcoat layer is at least two time higher compared to the PGM concentration in a bottom-most portion of the said washcoat layer.
