A fiber optic connector may include a body portion having a first end portion structurally configured to connect a fiber optic cable to an interface of a network component, a coupling portion at a second end portion of the body portion opposite to the first end portion, and a bonding portion disposed on at least a portion of the coupling portion. The coupling portion may include an exterior surface portion structurally configured to comprise an engagement portion and a receiving portion defined by the engagement portion, and at least a portion of the receiving portion may be structurally configured to receive the bonding portion. The bonding portion is structurally configured to retain a reinforcing portion of a fiber optic cable during field installation of the connector on the fiber optic cable with the connector so as to prevent movement of the reinforcing portion relative to the body portion.

A patch panel assembly, bezel and modular jacks are disclosed which allow modular jacks to be positioned closer together to increase patch panel density. In particular the modular jacks are equipped with features which engage openings which are offset, allowing for the modular jacks to be positioned closer together, in particular when arranged in adjacent parallel rows.

A reversible fiber optic cassette is disclosed for mounting in one of a first orientation and a second reversed orientation on a tray a plurality of stabilizing slots. At least one stabilizing member is held within a respective aperture in a cassette bottom such that an L-shaped slot engaging portion extends above the first surface and a second L-shaped slot engaging portion extends above the second surface. Each of the second L-shaped slot engaging portions engages with a respective one of the stabilizing slots when the cassette is on the tray in the first orientation and each of the first slot engaging portions engages with a respective one of the stabilizing slots when the cassette is on the tray in the second reversed orientation.

A telecommunications outlet device structurally configured to be expanded to provide increased connection density. The device may include a top portion, a body portion structurally configured to attach to the top portion and defining an interior volume, and a mounting portion associated with the body portion. The body portion and the top portion may be structurally configured to mount a second body portion, defining a second interior volume, between the top portion and the body portion in a stacked configuration such that the second body portion is attached to both the body portion and the top portion.

A connector is configured to connect cables so as to mitigate alien crosstalk. The connector includes a body portion and an alien crosstalk mitigation portion. The alien crosstalk mitigation portion has a first shield portion and a second shield portion. The second shield portion is structurally configured to be electrically connected to the first shield portion. The second shield portion comprises a first shield connection portion structurally configured to electrically connect to a first cable shield portion of the first cable and a second shield connection portion structurally configured to electrically connect to a second cable shield portion of the second cable. The first shield portion is structurally configured to electrically connect with the first and second cable shield portions. The alien crosstalk mitigation portion is structurally configured to electrically connect with the first and second cable shield portions to mitigate alien crosstalk by 3 dB or more to the conductors of the cables from a cabling system.

A connector device includes a plurality of connectors each configured to connect a conductor of a first cable to a conductor of a second cable. The connectors each include a body portion having conductor receiving portions each structurally configured to receive a conductor of one of the cables, a crosstalk mitigation portion configured to mitigate crosstalk, the crosstalk mitigation portion including a connection portion structurally configured to connect a first one of the conductors to a second one of the conductors, and the crosstalk mitigation portion is configured with a crosstalk mitigating shape configured to reduce a level of crosstalk to the cables.

An inspection device may include an illumination portion configured to illuminate a fiber optic ribbon cable to be inspected, an imaging portion configured to image an illuminated fiber optic ribbon cable to be inspected, and a controller configured to inspect a fiber optic ribbon cable. The controller may be configured to control the imaging portion to generate an image of the fiber optic ribbon cable being inspected, to generate first image values from the image of the inspected fiber optic ribbon cable, and to compare the first image values with stored second image values of a selected fiber optic ribbon cable comprising colored fibers arranged in a selected color order. The controller may be configured to determine whether the fibers of the inspected fiber optic ribbon cable are arranged in a same color order as the fibers of the selected fiber optic ribbon cable so as to enhance accuracy of determining that the fibers of the inspected fiber optic ribbon cable are in a correct order before termination of the inspected fiber optic ribbon cable with a connector.

A balancing coupling device is configured to balance electrical coupling of a single pair ethernet cable to a data conductor portion connected with a terminal block connector portion. The balancing coupling device includes a connecting portion structurally configured to connect to a shield portion of the single pair ethernet cable and a balancing coupling portion configured to extend from the connecting portion. The balancing coupling portion includes a first balancing portion and a second balancing portion, the first balancing portion is configured to be connected within at least a portion of a first terminal block connector portion that is configured to be located adjacent to a second terminal block connector portion that is configured to be connected with a first data conductor portion of the single pair ethernet cable, the second balancing portion is configured to be connected within at least a portion of a third terminal block connector portion that is configured to be located adjacent to a fourth terminal block connector portion that is connected with a second data conductor of the single pair ethernet cable, the fourth terminal block connector portion is configured to be located adjacent to the third terminal block connector portion, and the first balancing coupling portion and the second data coupling portion are configured such that the coupling of the first data conductor is balanced with the coupling of the second data conductor so as to reduce alien crosstalk of the single pair ethernet cable.

A cable entry transition to a cassette for a fiber optic cable that is configured to reduce stress on an optical fiber and reduce signal loss includes: a body that is configured to receive a cable; a retaining portion that is configured to engage a receiving portion of a cassette; a strength member securing portion; and a guide configured to connect to the body. The strength member securing portion is configured to secure a strength member of the cable to the body; and the cable entry transition portion is structurally configured to mechanically secure the strength member of the cable to a cassette such that a pulling force exerted on the cable is prevented from being transmitted to an optical fiber in the cable and the optical fiber is permitted to pass through the cassette so as to reduce signal loss of the system.
