Orthodontic appliances and associated devices, systems, and methods of manufacturing are disclosed herein. Various embodiments of the present technology, for example, are directed to a shape forming fixture configured to be secured to an orthodontic appliance such that the appliance conforms to the shape forming fixture and assumes a desired 3D configuration. In some embodiments, a shape forming fixture can be configured to accurately, efficiently, and releasably retain a portion of an appliance at an intended location relative to other portions of the appliance. A method of manufacturing an orthodontic appliance in accordance with several embodiments of the present technology can comprise obtaining an appliance in a first configuration, securing the appliance to a shape forming fixture such that the appliance assumes a desired 3D configuration, and setting a shape of the appliance such that the appliance maintains the 3D configuration when released from the shape forming fixture.

Systems and methods of repositioning teeth, using one or more appliances for installing on a patient's teeth are described. The appliance includes an arch shaped member; a plurality of spring members coupled to or provided on the arch shaped member; and a plurality of securing members for securing to a corresponding plurality of the patient's teeth on a one-to-one basis, the securing members being supported by the arch shaped member. The arch shaped member and the plurality of springs, together, comprise a two dimensional structure having a length dimension and a width dimension with varying widths along the length dimension, that is bent into a three dimensional structure.

Devices, systems, and methods for orthodontic treatment, orthodontic treatment planning, and orthodontic treatment evaluation are disclosed herein. Various embodiments of the present technology, for example, are directed to a method of obtaining a plurality of digital models representing a patient's teeth in a variety of arrangements and displaying the digital models to an operator such as an orthodontist, a patient, etc. In some embodiments, the arrangements of the patient's teeth can comprise a predicted arrangement and/or an actual arrangement. Various embodiments of the present technology relate to creating a more realistic final arrangement of a patient's teeth based on actual positions of brackets on the patient's teeth. Some embodiments relate to displaying two or more digital models of unique tooth and/or bracket arrangements to an operator via a graphical user interface to facilitate evaluation of the tooth and/or bracket arrangements.

Orthodontic devices for treating a patient's teeth and methods of orthodontically treating a patient's teeth are disclosed herein. According to some embodiments. the present technology includes an orthodontic appliance comprising a plurality of attachment portions each configured to secure to a tooth of a patient and at least one connector extending between at least two adjacent attachment portions. In various embodiments. an attachment portion can be configured to secure to a patient's tooth via a securing member carried by the tooth. A method of securing an appliance to a patient's teeth can comprise securing each attachment portion of a plurality of attachment portions to its respective securing member in an order, which can be based on a relative difficulty of securing each attachment portion as compared to the other attachment portions.

The present technology comprises methods of manufacturing an orthodontic appliance. For example, a method can include forming an orthodontic appliance in an intermediate configuration by a casting process. The method can further include securing the appliance to a shape forming fixture such that the appliance assumes a desired configuration. The shape forming fixture can comprise a gingiva portion including a surface having a shape corresponding at least in part to a gingiva of a patient and a securing portion carried by the gingiva portion and configured to releasably secure to a portion of the appliance. The method can further include setting a shape of the appliance while the appliance is secured to the shape forming fixture.

Orthodontic appliances and methods of manufacturing are disclosed. Manufacturing an appliance can include obtaining position data corresponding to an original tooth arrangement (OTA) of a patient's teeth, obtaining data corresponding to a desired final tooth arrangement (FTA) of the patient's teeth, and determining displacements between the OTA data and the FTA data. Based on the determined displacements, a configuration of an orthodontic appliance is determined. The appliance includes an anchor configured to be positioned adjacent the patient's teeth, and a plurality of arms each extending away from and coupled to the anchor, the arms configured to be secured to the patient's teeth. When the appliance is installed, the arms urge individual teeth from the OTA toward the FTA.

The present technology comprises methods of manufacturing an orthodontic appliance. For example, a method can include forming an orthodontic appliance in an intermediate configuration by a casting process. The method can further include securing the appliance to a shape forming fixture such that the appliance assumes a desired configuration. The shape forming fixture can comprise a gingiva portion including a surface having a shape corresponding at least in part to a gingiva of a patient and a securing portion carried by the gingiva portion and configured to releasably secure to a portion of the appliance. The method can further include setting a shape of the appliance while the appliance is secured to the shape forming fixture.

Devices, systems, and methods for orthodontic treatment planning and treatment are disclosed herein. Various embodiments of the present technology are directed to a method of obtaining data characterizing movements of a patient's teeth from original positions to desired, final positions. In some embodiments, the method can include identifying one or more components of the movements, evaluating the movements, and/or modifying the movements. A method of the present technology can comprise obtaining an orthodontic treatment plan, which can include one or more suggested interventions to accomplish the tooth movements, a design of such intervention(s), and/or other useful information regarding the orthodontic treatment. In some embodiments, a method of the present technology comprises evaluating an orthodontic treatment during and/or after implementation of the treatment and, based on the evaluation, obtaining another orthodontic treatment plan and movement data characterizing movements of a patient's teeth from their current positions to desired, final positions.

An orthodontic appliance and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the present technology includes a positioning member configured to position an orthodontic appliance during installation in the patient's mouth. The positioning member may comprise a first portion configured to be coupled to the patient's teeth and a second portion extending away from the first portion. The second portion may be configured to be detachably coupled to the orthodontic appliance. While the positioning member is coupled to the orthodontic appliance, the positioning member is configured to be positioned in the patient's mouth and coupled to the patient's teeth, thereby positioning the orthodontic appliance at a desired location adjacent a patient's oral anatomy.

An orthodontic appliance and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the appliance comprises an anchor configured to be positioned adjacent a patient's teeth, and an arm extending away from and coupled to the anchor. The arm can include a first end portion at the anchor and a second end portion configured to be coupled to a securing member adhered to a tooth of the patient. The second end portion can include a first region and a second region extending from the first region at an angle. When the appliance is positioned adjacent the patient's teeth and secured to the securing member, the first and second regions may inhibit the second end portion from translating and/or rotating relative to the securing member.
