The present application at least describes a system for detecting loss in free space optical communications (FSOCs). The FSOC may include a sensor located downstream of the power supply unit. The FSOC may also include a signal conditioning unit (SCU) located downstream of the sensor. The FSOC may also include a comparator located downstream of the SCU. The comparator may be configured to receive the first signal from the SCU and determine an indication of signal loss based upon the first signal being below a predetermined threshold. The FSOC may further include a photodiode located downstream of the sensor. The photodiode may be configured to receive power from the power supply, receive an optical signal from a source, and output a second signal based on the optical signal.

The present application at least describes a method for waveform synthesis. The method may include a step of transmitting a stimulus signal to a software defined radio (SDR) operating in a first state. The method may also include a step of receiving, via the SDR, an output signal based upon the transmitted stimulus signal. The method may also include a step of. determining, based upon the received output signal, a delay state of the SDR from a plurality of predetermined delay states of the SDR. The delay state may be associated with a parameter of the SDR. The parameter may include any one or more of a receive frequency, transmit frequency or bandwidth. The method may further include a step of generating a calibrated signal based upon the determined delay state. The method may even further include a step of sending the calibrated signal to the SDR to adjust a time.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses, among other things, may label and classify objects via appearance-based clustering for computer vision automatic target recognition (ATR) systems, including automated anomaly detection for objects appearing in an area of interest (AOI).

Systems and techniques are provided for the emulation of cloud computing service regions. An emulation system receives an API request including an indication of an endpoint associated with a target region of a cloud computing service from a system in a virtual private cloud. Attributes are extracted from the API request. A manipulated API request is generated from the extracted attributes of the API request. The manipulated API request includes an indication of an endpoint located in a standard region of the cloud computing service. The manipulated API request is transmitted to the endpoint located in the standard region of the cloud computing service.

E-plane waveguide duplexers comprising two filters (e.g., one or more E-plane ceramic waveguide filters), and methods for manufacturing the same, are described herein. The duplexer may include a plurality of septa (including a first septum and a second septum) formed by a union of a first dielectric block and a second dielectric block (e.g., ceramic). The first septum and/or the second septum may limit a residual field strength from the loop (e.g., inductive loop) to couple small amounts of energy from the first filter to the second filter (e.g., creating the duplexer). The width of the first septum and/or the second septum may determine the input loading from a first channel of the duplexer to a second channel of the duplexer. Moreover, by reducing the part count of the duplexer and/or decreasing its complexity, the structure of the duplexer may be manufactured more efficiently and its cost may be decreased.

E-plane waveguide filters, and methods for manufacturing the same, are described herein. In one aspect, a filter may include a first dielectric block (e.g., including a first coupling structure) and a second dielectric block (e.g., including a second coupling structure). A septum may be formed by a union of the first coupling structure and the second coupling structure, e.g., eliminating the need for a separate septum. Moreover, one or more of resonators, a metalized septum for inter-resonator couplings, and/or various input and output couplings loops or probes for input loading into the filter may be pressed, machined, lased, or screen printed onto\into the blocks. By reducing the part count of the E-plane filter and/or decreasing its complexity, the structure of the E-plane filter may be manufactured for efficiently and its cost may be decreased.

A system may be configured to identify VPN traffic. Some embodiments may: obtain a plurality of default port numbers and/or protocol types; obtain information continually updated to indicate at least one of a predetermined host or DNS; and detect VPN traffic based on a used port number and/or used protocol type, the VPN traffic being generated based on user-interaction at a client device. The detection may be performed by comparing the port number or protocol type against the obtained port numbers or protocol types, the VPN traffic being detected from among a larger set of network traffic. Some embodiments may further: determine that the detected port number or protocol type indicates a higher level of security; filter the larger set of traffic by identifying the detected VPN traffic routed to the predetermined host or DNS; and block or otherwise disrupt the VPN traffic.

Dielectrically loaded filters useful for communication systems such as 5G systems can include a block of dielectric material having a top surface, bottom surface, and side surfaces. The bottom and side surfaces of such a block include an electrically conductive material thereon and the top surface includes metallized and unmetallized areas thereon. The metallized areas can include a plurality of conductive pads electrically connected to a plurality of through-holes. The dielectrically loaded filter further includes a coating of a parylene polymer on at least the metallized areas of the top surface of the block. Such parylene coated dielectrically loaded filters advantageously have higher power handling relative to the same filter but without the parylene coating.

The present application describes a method including one or more steps. One step of the method includes receiving, at a gateway including an encrypted pathway, traffic from a third party originating outside a multi-hop network intended for a client inside the network. Another step of the method includes determining, using a trained machine learning model, a probe of the received traffic attempting to obtain confidential information about the multi-hop network. Yet another step of the method includes flagging the third party based on determined probe.
