Bacillus strain compositions and methods for converting (i) one or more polysaccharides into short chain polysaccharides and/or monosaccharides and/or (ii) one or more proteins into short chain polypeptides and/or amino acids are provided. The Bacillus strain composition can comprise Bacillus subtilis 750 or an active variant thereof, and optionally at least one of Bacillus subtilis 747, Bacillus subtilis 839, Bacillus subtilis 1781, Bacillus subtilis 1999, Bacillus subtilis 2018, or an active variant thereof. Compositions provided herein can be fed to animals in an effective amount to increase digestibility of one or more polysaccharides and/or one or more proteins; increase nutrition efficiency and/or energy partitioning; increase nutrient absorption; enhance gut immunity and/or gut barrier integrity; and/or inhibit a pathogen in the gastrointestinal tract of the animal.

The present disclosure provides a method for cleaning hair and a hair cleaning composition that includes a particulate cleaning agent in a total amount of about 2% to about 20% by weight based on a total weight of the hair cleaning composition, a plurality of solvents including at least one water-soluble or water-miscible solvent and at least one solvent that is not water-soluble or water-miscible, and a propellant including nitrogen gas. The plurality of solvents may be present in a total amount of about 70% to about 90% by weight based on the total weight of the hair cleaning composition. The propellant may be present in an amount of about 1% to about 5% by weight based on the total weight of the hair cleaning composition. The hair cleaning composition leaves hair wet upon application to the hair and dries within a time of less than 30 seconds.

The present disclosure provides cleaning articles. The articles can be formed of a detergent composition, a film former, and a foam stabilizer. The detergent composition can comprise at least one surfactant. The film former can comprise a cellulose-based polymer. The cleaning article can be configured as a substantially solid foam structure that is soluble in aqueous liquid and substantially non-flowing at a temperature of about 80° C. or less when out of contact with the aqueous liquid.

The present disclosure provides a condom that includes an elongated tube defined by an outer wall that includes an elastomeric material. The elongated tube may have a closed end and an open end. The elongated tube may have a tip portion that extends a distance from the closed end toward the open end and a shaft portion that extends from the open end to the tip portion. The outer wall in the tip portion has a tip portion thickness, and the outer wall in the shaft portion has a shaft portion thickness. A ratio of the tip portion thickness to the shaft portion thickness (T/S) is about 1.5 or greater.

The present disclosure provides compositions and products formed therefrom. In particular, the disclosure provides elastomeric latex articles, such as gloves and condoms, that can be prepared utilizing a styrene-polyisoprene-styrene (SIS) latex. The elastomeric articles can exhibit desired tensile properties while being substantially or completely free of undesired components, such as sulfur and zinc oxide, which can be allergens. The disclosure further provides methods of preparing elastomeric latex articles.

Compositions and methods for converting at least one glucosinolate to an isothiocyanate using Bacillus subtilis 839, Bacillus subtilis CO4_4, Pediococcus pentosaceus M3_H01, and/or Pediococcus pentosaceus M2_H12, or active variants thereof, are provided. Conversion of glucosinolates, such as glucoraphanin, to isothiocyanates, such as sulforaphane, leads to the stimulation of the Nrf2/Keap pathway and phase II enzymes, providing chemoprotective and anti-inflammatory effects. Accordingly, provided herein are compositions comprising Bacillus subtilis 839, Bacillus subtilis CO4_4, Pediococcus pentosaceus M3_H01, and/or Pediococcus pentosaceus M2_H12, or active variants thereof, for administration to subjects for increasing isothiocyanate (e.g., sulforaphane) production, increasing the expression of genes regulated by the Nrf2 transcription factor, including phase II enzymes, decreasing inflammation, and treating or preventing an inflammatory disorder or a cancer. The composition can comprise at least one glucosinolate or a plant, plant part or an extract thereof comprising glucosinolate(s).

An animal litter composition having reduced adhesive properties, and a related method, are disclosed. The animal litter can include a clay-based liquid absorbing material, a filler including one or both of the following: a non-absorbent, non-soluble substrate; an absorbent substrate, and at least one oil present in an amount such that the animal litter composition has a total oil content of about 1.0% by weight to about 7.5% by weight based on the total weight of the animal litter composition.

Test apparatus and method for testing a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) of a diagnostic device are disclosed. The apparatus controls a light source of the PCBA of the diagnostic device to operate at a first current level. The apparatus measures a first collector current of a first photo sensor of the PCBA of the diagnostic device. The apparatus measures a first collector current of a second photo sensor of the PCBA of the diagnostic device. The apparatus controls the light source of the PCBA of the diagnostic device to operate at a second current level. The apparatus measures a second collector current of the first photo sensor of the PCBA of the diagnostic device. The apparatus measures a second collector current of the second photo sensor of the PCBA of the diagnostic device. The apparatus determines an error value based on the measured collector currents.
