A method for configuring at least one regional setting on an ultrasound imaging device comprises the ultrasound imaging device receiving location data from a mobile device, via a connection therebetween and the mobile device employing the location data, assigned to the ultrasound imaging device, to configure the at least one regional setting on the ultrasound imaging device.

An ultrasound imaging system comprising a multi-use electronic display device and an ultrasound imaging device. The multi-use electronic display device is capable of communicating with one or more ultrasound imaging devices and selecting which to connect with based on at least one of previously store information, user input, and information gathered from the ultrasound imaging devices. The multi-use electronic display device may communicate with the ultrasound imaging devices while they are in a low power standby state. This approach reduces the complexity of the pairing process and provides a method for quickly and easily selecting between multiple ultrasound imaging devices.

A method and system of selecting from a plurality of devices for placement within an anatomical structure on an ultrasound image feed that is acquired from an ultrasound scanner, the method comprising: displaying, on a screen communicatively connected to the ultrasound scanner, the ultrasound image feed comprising the anatomical structure; deploying an AI model to execute on a computing device communicatively connected to the ultrasound scanner, wherein the AI model is trained so that when the AI model is deployed, the computing device identifies and predicts one or more dimensions of the anatomical structure; acquiring, at the computing device, a new ultrasound image during ultrasound scanning; processing, using the AI model, the new ultrasound image to identify and predict the one or more dimensions of the anatomical structure; and automatically selecting a device from the plurality of devices for placement therein based on the one or more dimensions.

A method for tracking an out-of-plane needle within an ultrasound image feed that is acquired from an ultrasound scanner comprises displaying, on a screen that is communicatively connected to the ultrasound scanner, the ultrasound image feed comprising a region of interest for imaging the out-of-plane needle; activating a tissue Doppler mode of the ultrasound scanner, in which the ultrasound scanner obtains a tissue Doppler ultrasound signal corresponding to the region of interest; identifying a tissue velocity within the region of interest while the out-of-plane needle is imaged within the region of interest; and generating a visual indicator onto the ultrasound image feed to identify the imaged out-of-plane needle.

A method for configuring an ultrasound imaging device to be trackable with short-range wireless connection during an active mode and an inactive mode comprises during the active mode, applying one or more data signals being communicated by the short-range wireless connection for location tracking, and while in the inactive mode, intermittently engaging the short-range wireless connection for initiating location tracking of the ultrasound imaging device.

The present embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for ultrasound imaging. The methods may involve: establishing a wireless network between an ultrasound imaging device and a display device; acquiring ultrasound image data using ultrasound acquisition parameters; transmitting the ultrasound image data from the ultrasound imaging device to the display device over the wireless network; receiving the ultrasound image data; measuring a quality of service parameter of the received ultrasound image data; determining whether the measured quality of service parameter is less than an expected quality of service parameter, the expected quality of service parameter being determined based on the ultrasound acquisition parameters used to acquire the ultrasound image data; and in response to determining that the measured quality of service parameter is less than the expected quality of service parameter, adjusting a network parameter of the wireless network to reduce network traffic on the wireless network.

A method for automatically measuring a bladder on an ultrasound image feed comprises deploying an AI model which is trained so that when the AI model is deployed, the computing device identifies and predicts a view of the bladder, from one of a sagittal view and a transverse view; and when a new ultrasound image is processed, using the AI model identifies and predicts the view of the bladder, wherein the prediction is an AI model output; wherein if the AI model output predicts a sagittal view of the bladder, automatically applying one caliper set along a superior-inferior dimension of the bladder and measuring the superior-inferior dimension; and if the AI model output predicts a transverse view of the bladder, applying two caliper sets along each of a length and a width of the bladder and measuring the length and width thereof.

An apparatus and method for generating high quality, high frame rate images in a handheld or hand-carried ultrasonic imaging machine. The apparatus includes an image enhancer to reduce speckle noise and improve the compressibility of the resulting image. This approach reduces the required hardware and power consumption to satisfy the physical space, power, and limited processing power of a handheld probe and enables high quality images to be transmitted efficiently over low-bandwidth connections.

A method for positioning one or both of a gate and a color box on an ultrasound image generated during scanning of an anatomical feature using an ultrasound scanner comprises deploying an artificial intelligence (AI) model to execute on a computing device communicably connected to the ultrasound scanner, wherein the AI model is trained so that when the AI model is deployed, the computing device generates a prediction of at least one of an optimal position, size, or angle for the gate and/or an optimal location/size of the color box on the ultrasound image generated during ultrasound scanning of the anatomical feature, thereafter enabling the acquisition of corresponding Doppler mode signals.
