A vehicle tire, in particular a pneumatic vehicle tire, having sidewalls and a tread and having at least one hatching area on at least one of the sidewalls and/or on the tread wherein the hatching area has elongated hatching ribs, which run next to one another and have directions of longitudinal extent running parallel or largely parallel to one another. The vehicle tire is distinguished in that the hatching ribs have rib portions which follow one another in a zig-zag shape and together enclose alternately inner-corner and outer-corner regions, wherein a freely ending additional rib branches off respectively on the same side of the hatching ribs and respectively extends up from inner-corner regions, and wherein hatching ribs running next to one another are offset from one another with respect to their directions of longitudinal extent in such a way that the outer-corner regions and inner-corner regions of adjacent hatching ribs respectively lie opposite one another. The invention also relates to a vulcanizing mold and to a method for producing the pneumatic vehicle tire.

A pneumatic vehicle tire comprises a tread with shoulder flanks, sidewalls and bead regions. The tire is vulcanized in a vulcanizing mold with a plurality of segments of a segment ring that are arranged movably in the radial direction for forming the tread and the shoulder flanks, with sidewall shells for forming the outer sides of the sidewalls and with mold partitions between the segments and the sidewall shells, wherein the shoulder flanks together with those regions that correspond to the positions of the mold partitions continuously adjoin the outer sides of the sidewalls such that the shoulder flanks are in line with the outer sides of the sidewalls. Radially within the regions that correspond to the positions of the mold partitions, in each case there directly adjoins a portion of the sidewall which, when the tire is viewed from the side, forms a circumferential flat surface running around in the form of a circular ring, with a radial extent of 10.00 mm to 25.00 mm, and which merges tangentially into the outer side of a further portion of the sidewall which has a thin amount of extra material of 0.50 mm to 1.50 mm and in radial section is curved outward in the form of a circular arc.

The invention relates to a pneumatic vehicle tire comprising at least one surface element ( 2 ) formed on its outer surface with a peak-and-trough contrast structure ( 6 ) formed relative to a base level (NB) and covering the surface. The peak-and-trough contrast structure ( 6 ) is formed from a plurality of contrast structure cells ( 7 ) joined together in a grid pattern and having matching forms in top view, wherein the peak-and-trough contrast structure ( 6 ) has grid-defining troughs ( 6 a ) along the mutual connection points of the contrast structure cells ( 7 ), wherein the contrast structure cells ( 7 ) each have an irregular peak-and-trough structure ( 8 ) which covers the surface, extends up to the grid-defining troughs ( 6 a ) and is made solely of a single cohesive branched peak structure ( 8 a ) and closed-ended troughs ( 8 b ) projecting from the grid-defining troughs ( 6 a ), wherein the arrangement of the contrast structure cells ( 7 ) and the design of the irregular peak-and-trough structures ( 8 ) are such that, viewed from above, the irregular peak-and-trough structures ( 8 ) can be transferred into one another by congruent projection.

A method and system for preparing a precured tread includes providing an elongated strip of precured tread having a major portion including a tread surface and at least part of an underside surface opposite the tread surface, and having a lateral wing projecting from each lateral side of the major portion of the precured tread. Each lateral wing has a thickness that is less than a thickness of the major portion of the precured tread such that, when the tread surface is supported on and facing a support surface, at least a portion of each lateral wing is elevated with respect to the support surface. A polymer cement is applied to the underside surface of the precured tread with an applicator while each lateral wing is stabilized with a respective stabilizer at least at the portion of the lateral wing that is elevated with respect to the support surface.

A method and system for preparing a precured tread includes providing a strip of precured tread having a tread surface and an underside surface opposite the tread surface; and applying a preformed composite sheet to the underside surface of the precured tread. The preformed composite sheet includes a top film layer and a polymer cement disposed on the top film layer. The applying the preformed composite sheet includes contacting the polymer cement with the underside surface of the precured tread. Such precured tread is then used in a tire retread process.

A compressor system for a puncture repair kit, in which a supply pressure of compressed air is controlled to a specified pressure Pp or less without the use of a relief valve, having a motor, a piston, which is driven by the motor via a crank mechanism and has a cylinder component with a cylinder main body having a pump chamber, in which a piston is movable between a bottom dead center and a top dead center and air is compressed, and a receiving chamber for receiving the compressed air compressed in the pump chamber through an air discharge valve. The cylinder main body is elastically deformable as the pressure increases, the cylinder main body being deformable to such an extent that the compression volume V2 of the cylinder fulfills the following expression (a) 0.3×V1×P0/(PP−P0)=<V2<0.8×V1×P0/(PP−P0) (a), where V1 is a swept volume which is a cylinder volume while the piston moves from the bottom dead center to the top dead center, V2 is a compression volume which is a cylinder volume when the piston is located at the top dead center, and P0 is an air pressure.

A tire tread ( 100 ) for a tire ( 101 ) comprising, a top side ( 10 ) configured to engage a ground surface during tire operation, a bottom side ( 20 ) configured for attachment to a tire carcass ( 105 ), a tread thickness ( 40 ) extending from the bottom side ( 20 ) to the top side ( 10 ) along a radial direction (R), a first lateral side ( 50 ) connecting the top side ( 10 ) with the bottom side ( 20 ), a second lateral side ( 60 ) connecting the top side ( 10 ) with the bottom side ( 20 ), wherein the first lateral side ( 50 ) is spaced apart from the second lateral side ( 60 ) along an axial direction (A). A pneumatic vehicle tire having a strength member ply comprising steel monofilaments having a cross-sectional area of 98 mm 2 to 125 mm 2 per meter of strength member ply, the steel has a carbon content of at least 0.86% by weight. To improve rolling resistance the monofilaments have a brass coating having a copper content of 61% by weight to 70% by weight and a zinc content of 30% by weight to 39% by weight, in that the monofilaments have a linear density of 92 g/100 m to 105 g/100 m, and the monofilaments each have a tensile density Td of 34 MPa/(g/100 m) to 39 MPa/(g/100 m). The strength member ply has an areal strength AS of 109 Nmm 2 to 166 Nmm 2 , and the rubber material has a breaking elongation of 300% to 450%.

A pneumatic tire for a vehicle, having at least one surface element that is formed on the outer surface of the tire and has a structure which contrasts with a base level and gives the surface element a roughness. The contrast structure is formed by a multiplicity of contrast structure cells, which coincide in shape in plan view and are joined together in the form of a grid. The contrast structure cells have irregular peak and trough structures of a surface-covering configuration. The arrangement of the contrast structure cells and the configuration of the irregular peak and trough structures are such that, when considered in plan view, the irregular peak and trough structures can be transferred one into the other by congruence mapping.
