A system and method are described herein for generating a visual indicator in a loudspeaker to identify a location of the loudspeaker in a room, the system and method comprising: at least two loudspeaker assemblies, each of which are adapted to receive digitally encoded audio signals and other digital signals, each of the at least two loudspeaker assemblies having a unique digital address and each comprising at least one loudspeaker; at least one processor communicatively coupled to each of the at least two loudspeaker assemblies; an input device communicatively coupled to the at least one processor; and a memory operatively connected with the at least one processor, wherein the memory stores computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to execute a method that comprises: receiving an input from the input device at the at least one processor, the input indicating which one of the at least two loudspeaker assemblies to identify a location thereof; generating a message to be transmitted to the indicated loudspeaker assembly, wherein the message contains commands and data to generate a visual indicator in the indicated loudspeaker assembly; transmitting the message to the indicated loudspeaker assembly; and generating the visual indicator according to the message at the indicated loudspeaker assembly.

A system and method to adjust power levels between interconnected loudspeaker assemblies is described herein, the system comprising: a primary loudspeaker assembly, and at least one secondary loudspeaker assembly interconnected with the primary loudspeaker assembly and adapted to receive an audio signal from the primary loudspeaker assembly; an interconnection verification circuit located in the primary loudspeaker assembly; and a controller located in the primary loudspeaker assembly adapted to receive the status signal from the interconnection verification circuit, wherein the controller comprises—at least one processor communicatively coupled to the interconnection verification circuit; a memory operatively connected to the at least one processor, wherein the memory stores computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to execute a method that comprises: generating an interconnection test signal by the interconnection verification circuit, wherein the interconnection test signal determines if the primary loudspeaker assembly is properly connected to the at least one secondary loudspeaker assembly; generating a connected status signal if the interconnection test signal determines that the primary loudspeaker assembly is properly connected to the at least one secondary loudspeaker assembly; receiving the connected status signal by the controller located in the primary loudspeaker assembly; and generating a first set of command signals by the controller to split power between the primary loudspeaker assembly and the at least one secondary loudspeaker assembly.

A system and method are described herein for configuring an audio distribution system, comprising a Redis server, the Redis server adapted to store Redis data to be used in configuring the audio distribution system; a plurality of audio devices, the plurality of audio devices and Redis server interconnected to form the audio distribution system, wherein each of the plurality of audio devices comprises—at least one processor; an electronic communications interface operatively connected to the at least one processor and adapted to receive data from a user and transfer the data to the at least one processor; and a memory operatively connected with the at least one processor, wherein the memory stores computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor in a first audio device to execute a method for configuring the audio distribution system that comprises: establishing communications using the electronic communications interface between the user and the at least one processor of the first audio device, such that data input by the user is received by the at least one processor of the first audio device; establishing communications to each of the remaining plurality of audio devices and Redis server in the audio distribution system; obtaining information from each of the remaining plurality of audio devices with which communications have been established, such information including one or more of an audio device name, part number, serial number, internet protocol address number, and physical location; receiving configuration information from the user that pertains to a specific audio device of the plurality of audio devices in the audio distribution system that, when installed on a specific audio device, causes the specific audio device to operate in a known manner; and copying that configuration information to others of the same specific type of audio device in the audio distribution system.
