A non-transitory computer medium storing computer-program instructions for executing a method that includes: instructing the acquisition or reception of an updated two-dimensional image representing a real dental scene, the updated image is a photo or an image extracted from a film, determination of a virtual dental scene as a function of the representation, the virtual dental scene including an indicator which does not represent a physical element, the indicator representing realistically or not, non-visible part of a physical element of the real dental scene, and display of the virtual dental scene, in transparent mode and overlaid on the real dental scene on a screen through which the real dental scene is visible or projected onto the real dental scene, or overlaid with the representation of the real dental scene on the updated image displayed on a screen, in transparent mode or not on the representation.

A method for acquiring a model of a dental arch of a user includes, at an update time, extra-oral acquisition, with a portable scanner, by the user, of a digital three-dimensional model of the arch. Optionally, the method includes a division of the model of the arch so as to isolate one portion of the model of the arch, so as to obtain an “updated model”. The updated model thus possibly being the acquired model or the portion of the acquired model isolated by division, the object represented by the updated model being called the “updated object”.

A method for generating an image of a dental arch of a beneficiary, called “modified image.” The method includes, at an acquisition time, acquiring a photo depicting the dental arch, called “original image.” The method successively includes processing the original image such that it depicts discriminating information. A method of determining an optimal switchover moment for a hybrid orthodontic treatment of teeth. Creation of a digital three-dimensional model of at least part of a dental arch. Deformation of the initial reference model until the tooth models are in a target position. Acquisition of at least one two-dimensional image of the teeth. Deformation of the initial reference model until the at least one updated image corresponds to the initial reference model. Determination, from the updated reference model and from said target reference model, of a plurality of remaining-treatments for moving the teeth from their position represented in the updated reference model into their position represented in the target reference model. A method for training a neural network intended to analyze a dental situation of an updated patient. A historical learning database is created that relates to a dental body and to a spatial attribute associated with the dental body. The historical learning database includes more than 1,000 historical records, with each historical record relating to a respective historical patient. Each record including a set of historical images all depicting the dental body in the historical patient, called “historical dental body” and an item of spatial information including, for the historical patient, a set of values for the spatial attribute, called “historical spatial information.” The neural network is trained, by providing it with the sets of historical images as input and with the historical spatial information as output, with the spatial attribute defining an ordered sequence of variables in a three-dimensional reference frame.

A method for acquiring a set of images covering a target belonging to an object in the mouth of a user, the method comprising the following steps: 1) presenting to the user, on a screen and using spatially augmented reality with respect to the object in the mouth observed by an image acquisition apparatus, a multidimensional symbol or a set of multidimensional symbols the shape and/or the position of each symbol being determined so as to indicate to the user at least one predetermined acquisition condition suitable for acquiring such an image; 2) for each symbol, acquiring, using the acquisition apparatus, such an image when said at least one predetermined acquisition condition associated with said symbol is met, preferably when all the predetermined acquisition conditions associated with said symbol are met.

A method for analyzing an image, called “analysis image”, of a dental arch of a patient. The method in which the analysis image is submitted to a neural network, in order to determine at least one value of an image attribute relating to the analysis image. The analysis image is a photograph or an image taken from a film. The image attribute relates to a position or an orientation or a calibration of an acquisition apparatus used to acquire the analysis image or a combination thereof, or a quality of the analysis image, and in particular relating to the brightness, to the contrast or to the sharpness of the analysis image, or a combination thereof.

A method for scanning a dental arch of a user, the method comprising: a prior step of generating a reference representation, then-a plurality of cycles of the following steps a) to d): a) acquisition of an updated image by the user by means of an image acquisition apparatus; b) analysis of the updated image in order to identify the surface of the updated image that represents the dental arch of the user, referred to as “acquired 2D surface”, then outlining and labeling a surface of the reference representation that corresponds to the acquired 2D surface, or “elementary labeled region”, and adding the elementary labeled region to a “labeled region of the reference representation” that brings together all the elementary labeled regions; c) determining and presenting guide information for guiding towards new acquisition conditions; d) preferably moving the acquisition apparatus towards said new acquisition conditions.
