A method for commissioning an electromechanical locking device at a location relates to a lock system selection of a lock system that takes place by receiving a lock system user input by way of an, in particular mobile, device, with the method including the following step carried out by the locking device: receiving electronic configuration data, with the configuration data including at least one item of access authorisation information, with the lock system selection taking place before the configuration data is received.

A method for commissioning an electromechanical locking device at a location, with the locking device includes an electronic identifier, and with the method having the following steps: receiving a location-specific user input by a, in particular mobile, device for defining the location in particular, with the receiving taking place by performing the location-specific user input on the device, assigning, in particular initially assigning, the identifier to the defined location to form an ID location assignment, subsequently sending the ID location assignment by the device to a computing unit.

A key element having a flat key with a key head and a key shank which extends along a key axis from the key head to a front key tip and has two parallel flat sides and two mutually opposing narrow sides. A method for outputting a notification about the existence of a status of a locking system that is to be avoided, with the locking system having an electronic knob and a locking device which may be actuated with the electronic knob, with a force being transmitted from the electronic knob to the locking device in order to transfer the locking system from a bolted to an unbolted status and/or from an unbolted status to a bolted status.
