An electric heating device includes a housing with a first heating chamber through which a medium to be heated can flow, an electrical heating device that is thermally coupled to the first heating chamber, and a control device for controlling the electrical heating device. The housing has a support plate which delimits the heating chamber and which interacts with a housing cover which is connected, in a sealed manner, to the support plate to form a control housing in which the control device is shielded.

A PTC heating device has at least one PTC element and conductor tracks which are electrically conductively connected to the PTC element and which are assigned different polarities for energizing the PTC element. An insulating material at least partially surrounds the PTC element. The insulating material comprises a polymer or copolymer having at least one aromatic ring in the backbone of the polymer. Also provided is an electric heating device having a heating chamber and a connection chamber which is separated from the heating chamber by a partition wall, from which at least one heating rib projects in the direction of the heating chamber. The connection chamber forms a receiving pocket in which a PTC heating device that is electrically connected in the connection chamber is received. The PTC device is coupled in a thermally conductive manner to inner walls of the heating rib delimiting the receiving pocket.

An electric heating device includes a housing which forms a receiving pocket in which at least one PTC heating assembly with at least one PTC element received in a positioning frame and strip conductors electrically conductively connected to the PTC element for energizing the PTC element with different polarity is received. In order to compensate for manufacturing tolerances without significantly impairing the heat dissipation from the PTC element, at least one profile part is connected opposite main side surfaces of the PTC element in a heat-conducting manner. Outer main side surfaces of the profile parts opposite the PTC element are connected to an inner surface of the receiving pocket in a heat-conducting manner in each case. The profile parts are connected to the positioning frame.

A PTC heating assembly has a plurality of PTC elements and electric strip conductors between which the PTC elements are provided and which are electrically conductively connected to the PTC elements The PTC heating assembly also includes a frame which forms at least one receptacle for the PTC elements and which is provided between the strip conductors. For adjusting the heating power of the PTC heating assembly, at least two strip conductors on at least one side of the PTC elements are electrically conductively connected to PTC elements which deviate from one another.

An electric heating device includes a housing which forms a heating element receptacle and at least one fluid channel. A PTC heating assembly with a press-fit profile is inserted into the heating element receptacle. The press-fit profile forms a PTC receptacle in which at least one PTC element, strip conductors abutting thereon in an electrically conductive manner and, if appropriate, an insulation supporting the strip conductors in an insulated manner against the PTC receptacle, are provided. The housing is formed from an extruded profile and is held under a pretension in the heating element receptacle by deformation projections located between the housing and the press-fit profile. The deformation projections are formed by the housing and/or the press-fit profile.

A fuel injection nozzle is connected to a pump for injecting the fuel and to a fresh air supply for the internal combustion engine. In order to provide an injection device which allows temperature control of the injected media with a simple structure and arrangement in the motor vehicle, the injection device has an electric heating device for heating the fresh air supplied. The heating device is fluidically connected via a first hose section to the inlet side of the fresh air supply and via a second hose section to the internal combustion engine. The heating device has a layered heating block comprising at least one heat-emitting layer and at least one heat-generating layer coupled thereto in a heat-conducting manner. The heat-generating layer includes at least one PTC element and conductor elements abutting opposed sides of the PTC element.

An electrical heating device, usable in a motor vehicle, has a housing enclosing a heating chamber coupled in a heat-conducting manner to an electrical resistance element. The housing encloses a control device which can make contact on the outside of the housing via a plug housing penetrated by at least one contact element. A frame element forms a pass-through opening for the plug housing. The pass-through opening is connected in a sealed manner to the housing and has a pressure equalizer for equalizing a pressure difference between the interior of the housing and the environment of the housing. The plug housing is sealingly received in the frame element.

An electrical heating device for a motor vehicle includes a housing which encloses a heating chamber which is coupled in a thermally conductive manner to an electrical resistance element and which encloses a control device. The electric heating device further has a pressure equalizing device for equalizing a pressure difference between the interior of the housing and the environment of the housing. The pressure equalizing device is sealingly inserted in a receiving bore which is formed to receive the pressure equalizing device and which is recessed in the housing.

An electric heating device comprises a housing with a partition wall which separates a connection chamber from a heating chamber for dissipating heat and from which at least one heating rib protrudes in the direction toward the heating chamber and forms a receiving pocket. A PTC heating device is received in the receiving pocket and includes at least one PTC element and conductor tracks which are electrically connected in the connection chamber for energizing the PTC element with different polarities and which are connected to PTC element r in an electrically conductive manner. A profile member is provided between the PTC heating device and an inner side of the receiving pocket and is connected to the receiving pocket by way of a tongue and groove connection which extends in the direction of insertion of the receiving pocket.

An optical device usable as a headlight of a motor vehicle has an optical system in the form of a lens and/or a light source which is surrounded by a housing and which is covered by a translucent, in particular transparent, cover which is connected to the housing. To increase the functionality of the optical device, a PTC heating assembly is configured to heat a space between the housing and the cover. The PTC heating assembly includes at least one PTC element and strip conductors that are connected electrically to the PTC element.
