Lighting systems and, in particular, lighting systems that include one or more LEDs and photo-luminescent material.

A tunable lighting system comprising a plurality of channels comprising at least, a first channel for emitting blue light and having a wavelength peak between 420 nm and 480 nm, a second channel for emitting cyan light having a wavelength peak between 450 nm and 530 nm, a third channel for emitting cyan-green light having a wavelength peak between 510 nm and 590 nm, a fourth channel for emitting red light having a wavelength peak between 510 nm and 780 nm, and a multichannel driver for driving a selection of said plurality of channels, said multichannel driver is configured to drive each channel independently such that said light system emits an emitted light with a CRI of at least 85 over a CCT range greater than 3000 K.

A light source for emitting emitted light having an SPD comprising: (a) a plurality of light emitters including at least one violet solid-state emitter; (b) at least one phosphor; wherein said light emitters and said at least one phosphor being configured such that: at least 25% of the power within the SPD is in the range 390-420 nm, and the emitted light has a chromaticity which is within a Duv distance of less than 5 points from the Planckian locus.

In one embodiment, a method comprising: (a) receiving a set of physiological data associated with at least one health condition of an animal subject; (b) receiving a set of environmental data associated with one or more environment conditions to which the subject is or has been exposed; (c) determining a set of operating parameters for at least one environmental device based at least partially on at least a portion of the set of physiological data and at least a portion of the set of environmental data; and (d) transmitting the set of operating parameters to the at least one environmental device to at least partially control at least one controlled environmental condition to which the subject is exposed to thereby at partially control the at least one health condition.

The present disclosure provides methods for generating white light. The methods use a plurality of LED strings to generate light with color points that fall within blue, yellow/green, red, and cyan color ranges, with each LED string being driven with a separately controllable drive current in order to tune the generated light output.

An optical cup which mixes multiple channels of light to form a blended output, the device having discreet zones or channels including a plurality of reflective cavities each having a remote phosphor light converting appliance covering a cluster of LEDs providing a channel of light which is reflected upward. The predetermined blends of phosphors provide a predetermined range of illumination wavelengths in the output.

The present disclosure provides systems for generating tunable white light. The systems include a plurality of LED strings that generate light with color points that fall within blue, yellow/green, red, and cyan color ranges, with each LED string being driven with a separately controllable drive current in order to tune the generated light output.

A platform for design of a lighting installation generally includes an automated search engine for retrieving and storing a plurality of lighting objects in a lighting object library and a lighting design environment providing a visual representation of a lighting space containing lighting space objects and lighting objects. The visual representation is based on properties of the lighting space objects and lighting objects obtained from the lighting object library. A plurality of aesthetic filters is configured to permit a designer in a design environment to adjust parameters of the plurality of lighting objects handled in the design environment to provide a desired collective lighting effect using the plurality of lighting objects.

Bioactive display systems for displaying digital content. The display systems have one or more LED-based lighting channels adapted to generate one or more of a long red near infrared (LRNE) red light, a circadian-inducing blue light output in first operational mode and a less-circadian-inducing blue light output in a second operational mode. The bioactive lighting can have a first circadian-stimulating energy characteristic related to the associated first spectral power distributions of light generated in the first operational mode, and the non-circadian-inducing blue light can have a second circadian-stimulating energy characteristic related to the associated second spectral power distribution of light generated in the second operational mode. Disclosure methods of generating digital display content with the display systems described herein. The methods can generate a circadian-inducing blue light output in first operational mode and one of a LRNE output and a less-circadian-inducing blue light output in a second operational mode.

A color correcting optical component (CCOC) for reducing the correlated color temperature (CCT) of a light source emitting a first light, the CCOC comprising: (a) a light transmitting component, the light transmitting component being discrete from the light source; (b) a connector operatively attached to the light transmitting component for connecting the light transmitting component to the light source such that at least a portion of the first light passes through the light transmitting component; (c) a plurality of quantum dots (QDs) disposed in the light transmitting component, the QDs configured to downconvert a portion of the first light to a second light, wherein the light transmitting component emits emitted light comprising a combination of at least the first light and second light.
