A lighting system includes a converter configured to receive a rectified input voltage and to generate an output voltage based on a control signal; a primary controller configured to generate the control signal to adjust the output voltage of the converter; and a startup circuit configured to power the primary controller based on the rectified input voltage in response to the output voltage being below a threshold, and to power the primary controller based on the output voltage in response to the output voltage being greater than or equal to the threshold.

A light driver includes a converter configured to generate a drive signal for driving an output load based on a rectified input signal; a regulator coupled between the converter and the output load, and configured to generate a regulated signal based on the drive signal; a secondary controller configured to detect a voltage of the regulator, to generate a first feedback signal to dynamically control a DC-level of the drive signal based on the voltage of the regulator, and to generate a second feedback signal for controlling a DC-level of the regulated signal.

A light driver includes a pulse generator circuit configured to generate a pulsed signal based on a rectified input line voltage, a dimming detection circuit configured to determine whether phase-cut dimming is present at an input of the light driver based on the pulsed signal and to generate a phase-cut detection signal, and an input selection circuit configured to apply a first voltage or a second voltage to a reference input of a power factor correction (PFC) circuit of the light driver based on the phase-cut detection signal.

A light driver includes a converter configured to generate a drive signal for powering a light source based on a control signal, a modular controller board electrically coupled to a sensor board and configured to receive sensor data from the sensor board and to generate a first sensor control signal corresponding to the sensor data, and a primary controller configured to control the converter by generating the control signal based on the first sensor control signal.

A method of controlling a light driver includes determining, by a secondary controller of the light driver, an actual voltage drop across a regulator of the light driver; determining, by the secondary controller, a target voltage drop of the regulator; calculating, by the secondary controller, a theoretical input voltage of the regulator based on the target voltage drop and an output voltage of the regulator; determining, by the secondary controller, whether the theoretical input voltage is within a first range; and in response to determining that the theoretical input voltage is within the first range, generating, by the secondary controller, a first feedback signal for transmission to a primary controller of the light driver based on the target voltage drop and the actual voltage drop.

A lighting system includes a power supply circuit configured to generate a drive signal for powering a light source based on an input power signal; a temperature sensor configured to measure a light source temperature corresponding to the light source; a current control circuit coupled to the light source and configured to adjust a current of the light source based on the drive signal and an adjusted reference signal; and a channel controller configured generate a reference signal based on a dimmer setting, and to adjust the reference signal based on the light source temperature to generate the adjusted reference signal.

A lighting system includes a power supply circuit configured to generate a drive signal for powering a light source based on an input power signal; a temperature sensor configured to measure a light source temperature corresponding to the light source; a current control circuit coupled to the light source and configured to adjust a current of the light source based on the drive signal and a reference signal; a channel controller configured generate the reference signal based on a dimmer setting, and to generate a compensation drive signal based on the light source temperature; and an auxiliary light configured to generate compensation light for compensating a correlated color temperature (CCT) drift in an output light of the light source based on the compensation drive signal.

A lighting system includes a converter configured to receive a rectified input voltage and to generate an output voltage based on a gate control signal; a PFC controller including a zero-crossing input, and configured to generate the gate control signal to adjust the output voltage of the converter based on a zero-crossing voltage at the zero-crossing input; a zero-crossing delay circuit coupled between an output of the converter and the zero-crossing input, and configured to slow a rate of change of the zero-crossing voltage based on one or more delay control signals; and a channel controller configured to identify a low-load state of the lighting system, and, in response, to generate the one or more delay control signals.

A method of operating a light driver includes operating the light driver in a constant voltage mode, identifying a calibration pattern at a dimmer input of the light driver, generating a maximum voltage at an output of the light driver, measuring a maximum current at the output of the light driver, and operating the light driver in a constant current mode based on the maximum current and a dimmer level at the dimmer input.

A programmable lighting system includes a plurality of color channels configured to generate light of different colors, and a light driver configured to drive the plurality of color channels according to a dimmer setting and a correlated color temperature (CCT) setting, and to maintain a constant maximum lumen output across a range of CCT values based on a dim-stop limit.
