The present disclosure comprises a footbed or sole portion having surface features that is configured to be flipped over or switched with that of an opposite shoe to differently engage with an adjacent surface and thereby adjust a shoe between smaller and larger dimension orientations.

Disclosed is a shoe having a compressible lattice structure in a heel portion to facilitate rapid, easy donning and doffing of shoes. In example embodiments, the lattice structure includes a plurality of interconnected, overlapping, intersecting and/or woven ribs defining a plurality of apertures. The lattice structure has an open position in which the shoe opening is expanded to facilitate reception of a foot of an individual wearing the rapid-entry shoe, and a closed position in which the shoe opening is smaller to retain the foot within the rapid-entry shoe.

A rapid-entry shoe having a heel counter to prevent inward deflection of a rear portion of the upper, but the heel counter having a vertical slit to permit downward deflection of the rear portion of the upper, so as to expand a perimeter of an opening of the shoe to receive a foot and thereby facilitate donning and doffing of the rapid-entry shoe.

A rapid-entry shoe allows the shoe to be rapidly entered and readied for wearing by the user. The shoe may be any of a wide variety of shoe types, including shoes of a wide variety of styles and functions. The rapid entry features of the shoes utilize various movable elements that are attached to a sole portion or other portion of the shoe and allow movement of a portion of the shoe under pressure to allow rapid entry of the user's foot into the shoe. The moveable elements may include flexible elements, elements having constructed to have a memory of a native position, magnetic elements, and/or elastic elements.

Example embodiments of the present disclosure comprise adjustable footwear having sole structure with interdependent parts. The sole structure may comprise multiple parts and/or portions that are configured such that relative movement between the multiple parts/portions and/or relative material properties of the multiple parts/portions facilitate and accommodate size adjustability of the sole structure (e.g., adjustability in length and/or width). In various embodiments, the interdependent portions of the sole structure may allow for adjustment in one or multiple directions in response to an action (e.g., a single action) taken by a user.
