The heater plate ( 46,74 ) heats the liquid conductor ( 48, 76 ) to create vapor when high frequency alternating electric current is provided to the induction coil ( 32 ). This offers manufacturing and cost advantages.

It is provided an electronic smoking device ( 10 ) which comprises a liquid reservoir ( 34 ), a battery ( 18 ) and a heating element ( 28 ) adapted to atomize liquid of the liquid reservoir ( 34 ). The heating element ( 28 ) has a modified surface ( 50 ) that comprises a plurality of structures ( 51 ) adapted to provide a capillary force on liquid of the liquid reservoir ( 34 ) when applied onto the heating element ( 28 ).

An electronic vaporizing device has an air flow tube passing through a liquid storage chamber ( 210 ). The air flow tube has a plurality of micro-openings ( 122 ). A thin film heating element ( 121 ) is provided on an inner wall of the air flow tube. A plurality of micro-openings in the thin film heating element ( 121 ) are aligned with the plurality of micro-openings in the airflow tube to provide a flow of liquid from the liquid storage chamber ( 210 ) to the thin film heating element ( 121 ).

A system, a method, and a device for controlling a heating element in electronic articles, and more particularly for controlling a heating element in electronic cigarettes. In one embodiment A system for controlling a heater can comprise a power source, a memory configured to store programing, an MCU, a solution, a heater configured to heat the solution, and a sensor. The power source, the memory, the MCU, the heater, and the sensor can be electrically coupled. The MCU can receive signals from the sensor and control the heater, and the MCU can be configured to use programming stored in the memory to control the heater.

A system, a method, and a device for controlling a heating element in electronic articles, and more particularly for controlling a heating element in electronic cigarettes. In one embodiment A system for controlling a heater can comprise a power source, a memory configured to store programing, an MCU, a solution, a heater configured to heat the solution, and a sensor. The power source, the memory, the MCU, the heater, and the sensor can be electrically coupled. The MCU can receive signals from the sensor and control the heater, and the MCU can be configured to use programming stored in the memory to control the heater.

An electronic cigarette ( 10 ) includes an atomizer ( 26 ) having a coil-less heating element ( 4 ) with a heating section ( 6 ) connected to an electrical power source and two end sections in contact with a liquid supply ( 34 ). The heating element ( 4 ) is made of one or more woven fiber tubes ( 2 ) having a hollow interior such that the liquid can be transported from the liquid supply ( 34 ) to the heating section ( 6 ) through the hollow interior along the woven fiber tubes ( 2 ) or through the fiber materials via capillary action.

An electronic cigarette includes an atomizer having a coil-less heating element having a heating section, two leads electrically connected to the heating section, and a liquid guiding structure. The liquid guiding structure includes two pads, a first pad and a second pad sandwiching at least a portion of the heating section. A gasket is positioned between a liquid supply and the first pad conducts liquid from the liquid supply to the first pad.

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed to an electronic cigarette with improved aerosol delivery characteristics. For example, an electronic cigarette consistent with the present disclosure may include a wick capable of enhanced delivery of electronic cigarette juice to a heating element. In particular, the wick may be a stainless-steel, wire mesh. In some specific embodiments, the wick may be coated to improve its electrically insulative characteristics.
