A circuit board connection structure includes a main circuit board, a main chip, and a first sub circuit board. The main circuit board includes an upper surface and a lower surface, with slots defining in each surface. The main chip and the first sub circuit board are respectively arranged on the upper and lower surfaces. The first surface is provided with at least one connector, and the second surface is provided with a connector plug. The connector plug is set in the slot to enable the first sub circuit board to be pluggable and unpluggable on the main circuit board. A computing device including the circuit board connection structure is also provided. By placing the main chip and the connector on opposite sides of the main circuit board, signal transmission path between the main chip and connector is effectively shortened.

An electrical connector includes a bracket having a plurality of mating frames arranged side by side in a lateral direction and opening forward and plural transition modules inserted forward to be at least partially accommodated in the mating frame, wherein the bracket defines plural heat dissipation grooves each located between two adjacent frames and plural heat dissipation fins each located in a corresponding heat dissipation groove, the heat dissipation groove opening through in a front-rear direction.

An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector having a card slot and plural terminals extending into the card slot; and a heat dissipation module having a fixing plate at one end thereof, the fixing plate having a notch; wherein the electrical connector has a supporting surface for supporting the fixing plate and a fixing member for mating with the notch, the fixing member includes a spherical or hemispherical head portion for guiding the fixing plate at multiple angles.

A chip retaining structure adapted for fixing a chip module in a chip socket includes a seat frame, a load plate and two retaining groups. The load plate is assembled on the seat frame and pivotable relative to one side of the seat frame. The load plate defines at least two through holes. Each through hole has a flange protruding inwardly adjacent to an upper face of the load plate. Each retaining groups comprises a bolt, a nut, and a collar. The bolt includes a nut portion, a first cylinder portion, a second cylinder portion, and a threaded portion. The nut is retained in the seat frame and screwed with the threaded portion. The collar is sleeved on the second cylinder portion and defines a flange portion. The bolt is limited in an up and down direction by the nut portion and the flange portion of the collar.

A connecting system and an electrical connector for a chip module are provided. The connecting system includes the chip module and the electrical connector. The chip module includes a chip substrate. The chip substrate has a plurality of first conductive pads arranged in a matrix manner. The electrical connector includes a first output end and a second output end. The first output end is configured to connect with a plurality of external cables, and the second output end has a plurality of conductive contact parts arranged in the matrix manner. The second output end of the electrical connector is disposed face-to-face with the chip module. The conductive contact parts are electrically connected to the first conductive pads of the chip substrate.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing extending in a horizontal direction, a plurality of conductive terminals retained in the insulative housing, a metallic stiffener surrounding the insulative housing, a load plate pivotally mounted upon the metallic stiffener and moveable between an open position and a closed position, and a carrier frame used for retaining and receiving a central processing unit (CPU) and carrying the CPU to the insulative housing. After retaining the CPU, the carrier frame is mounted on the insulative housing along a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction. The load plate is rotated to the closed position to fix the CPU on the insulative housing.

A securing mechanism for retaining a daughter board upon the primary board includes a base, which is moveably assembled upon the main board, and a latch assembled upon the base and moveable between a locking position and an unlocking position. The base forms a support platform upwardly abutting against the underside of the daughter board and equipped with an arc protrusion for receipt within a notch of the daughter board, and a grounding piece with one end mechanically and electrically connecting a grounding pad of the daughter board and the other end mechanically and electrically connecting a grounding pad on the main board. The base forms a horizontal slot to receive the main body so as to retain the base to the main body in position in the vertical direction. The latch forms a pressing face downwardly pressing an upper side of the daughter board.

A chip retaining structure adapted for fixing a chip module in a chip socket includes a seat frame, a load plate and two retaining groups. The load plate is assembled on the seat frame and pivotable relative to one side of the seat frame. The load plate defines at least two through holes. Each through hole has a flange protruding inwardly adjacent to an upper face of the load plate. Each retaining groups comprises a bolt, a nut, and a collar. The bolt includes a nut portion, a first cylinder portion, a second cylinder portion, and a threaded portion. The nut is retained in the seat frame and screwed with the threaded portion. The collar is sleeved on the second cylinder portion and defines a flange portion. The bolt is limited in an up and down direction by the nut portion and the flange portion of the collar.

A cable assembly module includes: a front mating member; a rear cable linked behind the mating member and including a pair of signal wires; a pair of signal contacts retained upon the front mating member, each of said signal contacts including a middle retaining section associated with the front mating member, a front mating section spaced from the front mating member in a deflectable manner, and a rear connecting section mechanically and electrically connected to the corresponding signal wires, respectively; and a pair of grounding contacts located by two sides of the pair of signal contacts; wherein the front mating sections are adapted for being directly mated with circuit pads of a printed circuit board disposed in a plane, and the rear cable extends along a direction inclined with the plane.
