A steering system for a vehicle includes a steering shaft that rotationally operates within a housing and is operable between a manual state and an idle state, and a ratchet assembly that selectively defines a first end stop of the steering shaft and a second end stop of the steering shaft. Conversion of the steering shaft from the idle state to the manual state causes the ratchet assembly to define respective locations of the first end stop and the second end stop relative to the housing. Further, the respective locations of the first end stop and the second end stop are based upon a position of a vehicular steering assembly relative to a vehicle frame and a rotational position of the steering shaft.

A fluid pump includes a pump element in communication with an inlet and an outlet. Rotation of the pump element generates a suction at the inlet and pressure at the outlet. The suction and pressure cooperate to move a fluid through a fluid path. An accessory fluid path is in communication with the inlet and outlet. The accessory fluid path includes a thermistor in communication with the accessory fluid path. The thermistor monitors a temperature of the fluid within the accessory fluid path.

A vehicle includes a host display that has a graphic user interface that incorporates a touchscreen. At least a portion of the host display includes a charging interface. A docking port is disposed proximate the host display. The docking port is configured to selectively couple with a portable computing device that has a portable display. Engagement of the portable computing device with the docking port places the portable display of the portable computing device in front of the charging interface of the host display. A controller of the host display is placed in electrical communication with the portable computing device to charge a battery cell of the portable computing device. Engagement further adjusts the graphic user interface of the host display to selectively assimilate the portable display of the portable computing device to define the portable display as an annexed display of the host display.

A selector assembly includes a selector, a printed circuit board having a three-dimensional sensor for monitoring multi-directional movement of the selector, and a magnet assembly that is attached to the selector and in electromagnetic communication with the three-dimensional sensor. The magnet assembly includes first and second flux concentrators with a sensing area defined therebetween and a magnet generating a magnetic field. The magnet is engaged with the first and second flux concentrators to direct a linear flux path of the magnetic field through the sensing area. The three-dimensional sensor is positioned within the sensing area with the linear flux path extending therethrough. Movement of the selector moves the magnet assembly and the linear flux path relative to the three-dimensional sensor. Motion of the linear flux path relative to the three-dimensional sensor is communicated to a controller.

A fluid pump includes a housing, a motor that is disposed within a motor portion of the housing, a delivery pump element that is disposed within a delivery portion of the housing, and a return pump element that is disposed within a return portion of the housing. A drive shaft is coupled to each of the delivery pump element and the return pump element, and operation of the motor contemporaneously operates the delivery pump element and the return pump element via the drive shaft. The delivery pump element is configured to deliver fluid from a reservoir to a drive unit, and the return pump element is configured to deliver the fluid from a sump assembly of the drive unit to the reservoir.

A fluid pump includes a motor disposed within an outer housing. The motor includes a stator and a rotor in electromagnetic communication with the stator. Windings are disposed on the stator that receive an electric current for defining the electromagnetic communication. A pump element is attached to the rotor via a drive shaft. The pump element operates with the rotor to deliver a fluid through a hydraulic fluid path. A plurality of sensors measure information related to at least one of the stator, the windings, the rotor, the pump element, the fluid and the hydraulic fluid path. A controller is in communication with the windings for delivering the electric current to the windings. The controller is also in communication with the plurality of sensors for measuring and recording the information and communicating this information to one of an external memory and an external controller.

A modular fluid pump includes a stator having a plurality of stator teeth and windings that are positioned on the stator teeth. A rotor has a central shaft and substantially hemispheric ends and a plurality of magnets that define an electromagnetic communication with the windings. A housing surrounds the stator and includes a fixed end cap that receives one of the hemispheric ends of the central shaft and defines a rotational axis of the rotor. A securing end cap that receives the other hemispheric end of the central shaft. The central shaft and the fixed and securing end caps define the rotational axis of the rotor. Engagement of the hemispheric end with the central shaft and the fixed and securing end caps maintains the rotor and the central shaft aligned with the rotational axis and balanced within the stator.

A shift actuator for a transmission includes a drive assembly coupled with a selector interface. A transmission selector operates between a plurality of transmission settings. A threaded actuator is rotationally operated by the drive assembly. A carriage linearly operates along the threaded actuator to define a plurality of actuator positions that correspond to the transmission settings. An actuator arm extends between the carriage and the transmission selector to translate linear operation of the carriage to rotational operation of the transmission selector.

A fluid pump includes a pump element where rotation of the pump element generates suction at the inlet and pressure at the outlet to move fluid through a fluid path. An inlet orifice directs a portion of the fluid through the accessory fluid path that includes a low-restriction return path providing a continuous flow of the fluid through the accessory fluid path and to an outlet orifice. A circuit board housing includes a contoured portion and a PCB with a thermistor in communication with contoured portion. The continuous flow is directed between the contoured portion and the outlet orifice between a rotor and the outer wall. The low-restriction return path maintains a temperature of the continuous flow of the fluid within the contoured portion of the accessory fluid path to be similar to a temperature of the fluid in the fluid path.

A steering system for a vehicle includes a steering column that is configured to be in communication with a steering assembly and that has a steering shaft that rotationally operates within a sleeve, a steering wheel that is attached to the steering shaft for operating the steering assembly and that includes a user interface, and a control interface that extends between the steering wheel and the steering column. The control interface has a first portion coupled with the steering column, and a second portion coupled with the steering wheel. The second portion rotationally operates with respect to the first portion. The first portion and the second portion are in wireless communication with one another to place the user interface in communication with a controller that operates at least one electrical control system.
