Embodiments of the present invention provide a single platform that provides controller functionality for each of security, monitoring and automation, as well as providing a capacity to function as a bidirectional internet gateway. Embodiments of the present invention provide such functionality by virtue of a configurable architecture that enables a user to adapt the system for the user's specific needs. Embodiments of the present invention further provide for a software-based installation workflow to activate and provision the controller and associated sensors and network. Embodiments of the present invention also provide for downloading of previously-stored configuration data to the controller from a remote server, and for activation and provisioning of the controller from the previously-stored configuration data.

A system may provide a plurality of communication modes to a remote server system and provide remote control and monitoring of the system via two-way communication. The system may communicate with an alarm processor of an alarm system. The system may determine a communication mode to provide communication between the alarm system and the remote server. The system may send status and alarm conditions to the remote server, and the system may send control signals to the alarm system. The remote server may provide a pre-determined response to information received from the alarm system, for example the alarm system may provide alarm system condition information to a user or a monitoring station for response.

An integrated security system integrates broadband and mobile access and control with conventional security systems and premise devices to provide a tri-mode security network having remote connectivity and access. The integrated security system delivers remote premise monitoring and control functionality to conventional monitored premise protection and complements existing premise protection equipment. The integrated security system integrates into the premise network and couples wirelessly with the conventional security panel, enabling broadband access to premise security systems. Automation devices can be added, enabling users to remotely see live video or pictures and control home devices via a personal web portal or other client device. Camera management enables automatic configuration and management of cameras in the premise network. The camera management extends to remote control and monitoring from outside the firewall of the premise network to include routing of images or video from a streaming source device to a requesting client device.

User input indicative of a rule may be received via an interface of a controller. The rule may be associated with a rule device identifier, a rule event identifier, and a rule time period. A signal comprising data indicative of an occurrence of an event associated with a premises device may be received. The data may comprise a time associated with the occurrence of the event, an identifier of the premises device, and an identifier of the event. Based on the time, it may be determined that the event occurred during the rule time period. Based on the determination that the event occurred during the rule time period, and based on the rule device identifier corresponding to the identifier of the premises device and the rule event identifier corresponding to the identifier of the event, and based on the rule, a notification may be transmitted to a user device.

An integrated security system that includes a security coprocessor coupled to a conventional security system panel and an interactive security system. The integrated security system enables conventional security system features as well as the consumer-oriented interactive features and functions of an interactive security system without sacrificing reliability or the significant burden and cost associated with frequent software updates associated with conventional security systems. The integrated security system also minimizes or eliminates the need for new battery backup circuitry or larger batteries.

Systems, methods, and devices for managing sensor event rules are described. A sensor event rule may be determined. The sensor event rule comprises a rule sensor identifier and a rule event identifier. Data indicative of a sensor event may be received. The data may be associated with a first premises device. The data may further indicate an identifier of the first premises device and an identifier of a sensor event. Based on determining that the identifier of the rule sensor identifier corresponds to the identifier of the first premises device and that the rule event identifier corresponds to the identifier of the sensor event, a control signal may be transmitted to a second premise device. The control signal may be configured to cause configuration of one or more settings associated with one or more functions of the second premises device.

A system including a drone or unmanned vehicle configured to perform surveillance of a premises. The drone surveillance includes autonomous navigation and/or remote or optional piloting around the premises. The drone includes a controller coupled to a plurality of sensors configured to collect drone data and security data at the premises, wherein the controller is configured to generate control data for the drone and the premises using the drone data and the security data. A remote device coupled to the drone includes a user interface configured to present the drone data, the security data, and/or the control data.

A system comprising a gateway at a premises and configured to communicate with a premises device including a proprietary communication protocol different from a protocol of the gateway. The system includes a bridge server coupled to the gateway and to a device server. The device server corresponds to the premises device. An integration component, running on the bridge server, corresponds to the premises device. The system includes a virtual instance running on the gateway. The virtual instance corresponds to the premises device. The virtual instance is configured to represent a state change of the premises device using data received from the premises device via at least one of the integration component and the device server.

Systems and methods for controlling routing in premises management systems are described. A system may comprise a server located external to a premises. The server may be configured to receive, from a user device located external to the premises, a request for content from a premises device located at the premises. The server may be configured to transmit, to a gateway device located at the premises, a request to cause transmission of the content. The gateway device may configured to determine, based on the request to cause transmission of the content and a capability of a network, a routing protocol for transmission of the content. The gateway device may be configured to cause transmission of the content. The transmission of the content may use the determined routing protocol. The transmission of the content may be via the network.
