The present disclosure relates to a ray tracing image quality control method according to camera movement, an image quality control apparatus performing the same, and a recording medium storing the same, and the apparatus includes: an image sensitivity threshold setter configured to set an image sensitivity threshold based on a resolution of an image and a screen size; a current frame measurer configured to measure a camera movement speed through rendering of a current frame of the image; a previous frame measurer configured to measure Frame Per Second (FPS) through rendering of a previous frame of the image; an image sensitivity threshold adjuster configured to adjust the image sensitivity threshold based on the FPS and the camera movement speed; and a frame renderer configured to perform selective rendering of the current frame based on the adjusted image sensitivity threshold.

A multilevel selective rendering method for increasing rendering performance, includes: setting a multilevel threshold for a current tile in a rendering process for an image frame divided into a plurality of tiles; generating initial sampling blocks by performing initial sampling for the current tile; generating first level blocks by performing first level selective rendering according to a first level threshold of the multilevel threshold based on the initial sampling blocks; generating second level blocks by performing second level selective rendering according to a second level threshold of the multilevel threshold based on the first level blocks; and initiating the multilevel selective rendering for a next tile of the current tile when multilevel selective rendering for the current tile is completed through repetition of level-specific selective renderings.

A visual attention-based ray tracing method includes: determining whether each sampling pixel hits a primary ray during a process of generating a first image by rending a specific scene at a first resolution; and performing selective rendering repeatedly on candidate pixels existing between the sampling pixels during a process of generating a second image by rendering the first image at a second resolution higher than the first resolution through adaptive adjustment of a threshold due to hit frequencies of neighboring pixels.

A visual attention-based ray tracing method includes: determining a central position of a specific scene during generation of a first image by rendering the specific scene at a first resolution; and performing selective rendering repeatedly on candidate pixels existing between sampling pixels through adaptive adjusting of a threshold due to a distance from the central position during generation of a second image by rendering the first image at a second resolution higher than the first resolution.

There are provided a multi-chip based ray tracing device and a method using frame partitioning. The multi-chip based ray tracing device includes a system memory storing geometry data and an acceleration structure (AS) for scene generation; a plurality of ray tracing cores performing independent ray tracing for individual frames based on the geometry data and the acceleration structure; and a central processing unit executing and managing a ray tracing application and a scene manager and delivering the geometry data and the acceleration structure to the plurality of ray tracing cores.

There is provided a ray tracing device with improved performance. The ray tracing device includes a tree build unit (TBU) building a spatial partitioning structure; a ray tracing unit (RTU) performing ray tracing based on the spatial partitioning structure; and a controller controlling the balance between operating performances of the tree build unit and the ray tracing unit adaptively by monitoring load conditions of the corresponding units.

The mixed reality based 3D sketching device includes a processor; and a memory connected to the processor. The memory stores program commands that are executable by the processor to periodically tracks a marker pen photographed through a camera, to determine whether to remove a third point using a distance between a first point corresponding to a reference point, among points that are sequentially tracked, and a second point at a current time, a preset constant, and an angle between the first point, the second point, and the previously identified third point, to search an object model corresponding to a 3D sketch that has been corrected, after correction is completed depending on the removal of the third point, and to display the searched object model on a screen.
