Various embodiments of the teachings herein include an electric motor comprising: a stator with a plurality of field conductors; a cooling plate; a printed circuit board arranged on the cooling plate; a plurality of power electronic components for controlling the field conductors, the power electronic components arranged on the printed circuit board; and a groove-like recess in the cooling plate. The cooling plate in is mechanical contact with the field conductors via current conductors electrically connected to the field conductors. A busbar is arranged in the groove-like recess and thereby electrically insulated from the cooling plate and at least partially covered by the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board is in electrical contact with the busbar.

A method for starting a grinding tube with an assigned drive device, wherein during the operation of the grinding tube a grinding mode and a charge release mode can be set such that a particularly reliable monitoring of the state of charge located in the grinding tube is ensured, where the grinding tube is rotated and, at a first rotational angle, a first actual torque is detected, a setpoint torque is calculated for a second, relatively large rotational angle based on the first actual torque, an actually occurring, second actual torque is detected when the second rotational angle is reached, an investigation is performed to determine the difference of the second actual torque from the setpoint torque, and the charge release mode of the grinding tube is set when the second actual torque is within the threshold range, otherwise the grinding tube is operated in the grinding mode.

In a method for producing a stator of a dynamoelectric rotating machine a winding system is arranged in a magnetically conductive body in grooves facing an interior bore such as to create respective winding heads on end faces of the magnetically conductive body. The magnetically conductive body is connected for conjoint rotation to a housing which extends axially, on both sides of the magnetically conductive body, at least to an axial outer edge of the winding heads so as to create a circumferential gap arranged between a radial outer side of the winding heads and an inner edge of the housing and filled with a potting compound to thermally connect the winding heads to the housing. The potting compound penetrates radial outer regions of the winding heads to such an extent that the potting compound is prevented from escaping at a radial inner edge of the winding heads.

In a method for monitoring a synchronous motor, in particular for monitoring an excitation device of the synchronous motor, an Individual value dependent on the power factor of the synchronous motor is measured. A monitoring value is formed from a multiplicity of individual values and/or values dependent thereon. The method can be carried out by a monitoring device.

A dynamo-electric rotary machine includes a stator having a hollow-cylindrical, magnetically conductive body, which has grooves in the region of an inner casing surface of the magnetically conductive body. Electrical conductors are received in the grooves and electrically contacted by a short-circuit ring on an end side of the magnetically conductive body of the stator. The electrical conductors are electrically contacted on another end side of the magnetically conductive body by a plurality of inverter modules for controlling the respective electrical conductor. A rotor is arranged spaced apart from the stator by an air gap and designed as a squirrel-cage rotor. The rotor has short-circuit rings on its end sides, wherein the conductors and/or the inverter modules and/or the rotor and/or the short-circuit ring of the stator can each be cooled, at least in a section thereof, by a gaseous medium, in particular air.

A variable frequency drive system includes a power converter with a plurality of power cells supplying power to one or more output phases, each power cell having multiple switching devices, a plurality of sensors monitoring values of the power converter, and a control system in communication with the power converter and controlling operation of the plurality of power cells, wherein the control system is configured via computer executable instructions to access and utilize a multi-dimensional response surface to obtain an internal coolant flow rate.

In a method of producing an add-on part of a drive, one circuit board of multiple planar circuit boards, which have electrical conductor tracks with electrical connections, is provided with a centrally arranged opening for passage of a shaft. The circuit boards are populated with electrical and/or electronic components, and the populated electrical and/or electronic components and wiring are electrically tested. Segments made of a material with high thermal conductivity are arranged on at least two of the multiple circuit boards such that a bending process in a region of the electrical connections between the at least two circuit boards causes the segments to form an approximately peripherally closed cover. Lids are arranged on open sides of the cover to realize a closed housing arrangement.

A rotor of a squirrel-cage motor and a method for producing the same, wherein the rotor has a squirrel cage winding, and rotor bars of the squirrel cage winding extend in the axial direction through a cylindrical rotor body and are interconnected by end rings at respective end faces of the rotor body, and where the end rings are applied directly to the end faces of the cylindrical rotor body via an additive manufacturing method.

A modular braking adjuster includes a brake resistor and at least two sub-modules arranged in series. At least one sub-module is constructed as a full-bridge module and at least one sub-module is constructed as a double half-bridge module. A control device is configured to generate a voltage across the serially connected sub-modules, wherein the voltage has a direct voltage component and an alternating voltage component. The control device provides open-loop or closed-loop control of the alternating voltage component, such that the alternating voltage component is at least temporarily greater than the direct voltage component and the time-averaged energy taken up by the modular braking adjuster is converted into heat in the brake resistor. An electric drive having the modular braking adjuster and a power converter electrically connected on the direct voltage side to the modular braking adjuster and a method for operating a modular braking adjuster are also disclosed.
