An electrical connector is provided. The electrical connector can be a low profile, high voltage connector that can include a male housing and a female housing. The male housing can support male pins that mate with terminals disposed through the female housing. The bend or outward extension of the pins can support forming one row or dual rows of solder pads.

A hidden releasable barcode or QR code for indicating mating or non-mating of two elements, which includes a concealing feature which indicates the non-mating of said two elements, and an indicating feature which indicates the mating of said two elements. The concealing feature and the indicating feature are one and the same structure with no relative motion between the concealing feature and the indicating feature. The conceiling feature is an upper side of the rotatable platter, while the indicating feature is an underside of the rotatable platter having the barcode or QR code thereon. When a rotatable platter becomes unblocked, a spring or a mechanical linkage rotates the platter from the upper side of the platter (concealing feature) to the underside of the platter containing thereon the barcode or the QR code (indicating feature).

A connector position assurance member is provided. The connector position assurance member may include a center beam, an upwardly extending deflecting arm extending from a top surface of the center beam, and a front wall having a grip portion. Further, the front wall may be concave and the upwardly extending deflecting arm may have an edge configured to abut a bridge of a female housing. The connector position assurance may have a lateral beam extending from the front wall and generally parallel to the center beam, and a rib engaging the lateral beam. The connector position assurance member may have a brace extending between the lateral beam and the center beam, and the brace may define a pocket with the center beam.

An electrical connector is provided. The electrical connector can include a female housing and a terminal position assurance member forming a pre-installed assembly. The terminal position assurance member can include one or more lock arms to retain the terminal position assurance member in a final lock position, which can provide reinforcement or secondary locking for a terminal, and terminal position assurance. The terminal position assurance member can be symmetrical about a medial axis of the terminal position assurance member. The lock arms can have a curved top surface. The curved top surface of the lock arms can be laterally offset from an indent formed in a top surface of the terminal position assurance member. The lock arms can be thicker than a medial thickness of the terminal position assurance member.

A pin assembly is provided. The pin assembly may include pre-bent pins that are formed during stamping and do not require further bending or plating before insertion into a housing. The pin assembly may include a first pin having a first leg, a first contact, a first transition portion engaging the first leg and the first contact, and a slot. The pin assembly may have a second pin having a second leg, a second contact, and a second transition portion engaging the second leg and the second contact. The slot may be configured to receive the second contact. The first transition portion may offset the first contact from the first leg in a first direction and the second transition portion may offset the second contact from the second leg in a second direction that opposes the first direction.

A connector having a male housing and a female housing with keying systems is provided. The keying system on the male housing has a first keying pattern and a second keying pattern. The keying system on the female housing has a third keying pattern and a fourth keying pattern. The keying patterns can be ribs and grooves. A rib of the first keying pattern can be inserted to a groove of the third keying pattern to allow mating of the male housing and the female housing. A rib of the second keying pattern can be inserted to a groove of the fourth keying pattern to allow mating of the male housing and the female housing.

An electrical connector is provided. The electrical connector can include a female housing and a terminal position assurance member forming a pre-installed assembly. The terminal position assurance member can include one or more lock arms to retain the terminal position assurance member in a final lock position, which can provide reinforcement or secondary locking for a terminal, and terminal position assurance.
