Company patents

KT CORPORATION

KT CORPORATION's patent strategy is heavily concentrated in communications, with nearly half of its portfolio (47.1%) in Pictorial / Video Communications and another 44.5% in Wireless Networks. While Wireless Networks showed robust growth of +53.5% in 2025, it's surprising to see a significant decline in patenting activity across most categories so far in 2026, including a -61.0% drop in Pictorial / Video Communications and a -60.6% drop in Wireless Networks, suggesting a potential shift in focus or a temporary slowdown in filings.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING OR RECEIVING DATA IN NEXT GENERATION WIRELESS ACCESS NETWORK

Filed:2026-02-02Pub:2026-06-25
Applicant:KT CORPORATION

Provided is a method performed by a base station or a user equipment for satisfying requirement of the different usage scenarios from each other in a next-generation/5G radio access network which has been discussed in the 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP),. In particular, methods performed by a base station and a user equipment in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The base station method includes configuring a first user equipment with a first numerology and a first bandwidth part, and configuring a second user equipment with a second numerology different from the first numerology. A number k of consecutive orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols is calculated based on at least one of subcarrier spacing, numerology index, or processing latency of the first user equipment. The k consecutive OFDM symbols within a slot of the first bandwidth part are allocated to the second user equipment, and preemption indication information indicating the k consecutive OFDM symbols and a timing offset is transmitted to the first user equipment. The user equipment method includes receiving configuration information and the preemption indication information, determining a preemption window based on the timing offset, and suspending transmission or reception during the k consecutive OFDM symbols while maintaining synchronization for remaining symbols of the slot.
