A composite nonwoven fabric ( 1, 51, 61 ) and a process ( 100, 101, 102 ) for the production of the composite nonwoven fabric ( 1, 51, 61 ) are shown, wherein the composite nonwoven fabric ( 1, 51, 61 ) comprises at least one spunbonded nonwoven ( 8, 54, 64 ), which exhibits essentially continuous regenerated cellulosic filaments ( 4, 55, 65 ) deposited in a random orientation, and at least one layer ( 52, 62 ) of biobased biodegradable short fibers ( 14, 53, 63 ). So as to provide a fully biodegradable composite nonwoven fabric of the initially mentioned type, which exhibits a high stability and tensile strength as well as good absorption properties and haptic properties and, in addition, can be produced in a cost-efficient way, it is suggested that the composite nonwoven fabric ( 1, 51, 61 ) has at least one mixing area ( 56, 66 ) in which the filaments ( 4, 55, 65 ) of the spunbonded nonwoven ( 8, 54, 64 ) and the short fibers ( 14, 53, 63 ) are present in a state of physical interconnection.

The present invention provides a lyocell fiber with increased tendency to fibrillate, requiring a time of less than 80 minutes to obtain a 50° SR value according to ISO 5267-1: 1999 while the reduction of the working capacity [c N/tex*¾] at the 50° SR value is less than 50%, as well as a method for producing same and products comprising same.

The invention relates to a method for the treatment and utilization of waste liquor containing at least polyester degradation products and originating from an alkaline pulping process for the extraction of cellulose raw material from blended textile waste which contains at least a cellulose component and a polyester component. In order to make the method environmentally friendlier and more resource-efficient, it is proposed that the method comprises the following steps: the evaporation of water from the waste liquor in order to precipitate the polyester degradation product from the waste liquor and to obtain a two-phase mixture having an aqueous phase and a solid phase including the polyester degradation product, b) the separation of the solid phase from the liquid phase, and c) the thermal/energetic utilization of the solid phase.

The invention relates to a nonwoven as well as to a wipe, a face mask, and a dryer sheet including the nonwoven, which includes a network of molded bodies, the nonwoven, in the dry state, having a specific opacity of greater than or equal to 1.0%·m 2 /g. In order to create a nonwoven of low basis weight, which is easy to produce and has, without special modifications, a high specific opacity, it is proposed that the molded bodies are regenerated cellulosic molded bodies and are materially interconnected via node points to form the network, and the regenerated cellulosic molded bodies comprising monofilament sections extending between node points, whose diameter varies along their lengthwise extension and which have a diameter of less than or equal to 15 μm for at least 90% of their lengthwise extension.

A treated cellulose-comprising starting material and a method for forming a regenerated, cellulosic molded body, produced from a cellulose-comprising starting material which comprises cellulosic fibers, the cellulose-comprising starting material entirely or partially comprises remains from a reusable clothing manufacture or reusable old clothes, the cellulose fibers of the treated cellulose-comprising starting material has a predetermined fiber length distribution having an average length-weighted fiber length in the range 0.75 to 2.5 mm, and an amount of 11% or less of fibers with a length of less than 0.2 mm.

A container for holding a fluid is disclosed. The container comprises an inner sleeve having a first opening and a second opening opposite the first opening, and an outer sleeve having a third opening and a fourth opening opposite the third opening. The inner sleeve and the outer sleeve are made of paper. The first opening has a first reinforcing element which extends into the first opening, and the third opening has a second reinforcing element which extends into the third opening. Further, the container comprises a functional insert. The outer sleeve has a larger diameter than the inner sleeve so that the inner sleeve is insertable into the outer sleeve through the fourth opening such that the insert is fastened between the first reinforcing element and the second reinforcing element.

A cellulosic paper material made of recycled used textiles having intrinsic non-cellulosic foreign matters and synthetic fibers incorporated in the paper material with 10% or less cellulose with an average degree of polymerization in the range 50 to 200 monomers, the intrinsic non-cellulosic foreign matters can consist of a trace element, a metal oxide, a colorant, a luminescent material, and a synthetic plastic, and the synthetic fibers comprise elastane.

A process and a system for washing filaments. A filament to be washed and a washing liquid are passed in a countercurrent. The process and the system include two washing stages. In each washing stage the filament is brought into contact with a fresh washing liquid by a washing element in such a way that only an amount of the washing liquid is transferred to the filament, which adheres to the filament itself, for example by adhesion. The washing liquid is then separated from the filament again in each washing stage, and a separated washing liquid is collected in such a way that it is not mixed with the separated washing liquid from other washing stages of the process but is used as the fresh washing liquid in the washing element of a preceding washing stage.

A method for providing a treated cellulose-comprising starting material ( 110 ), in particular a starting material for forming a, in particular regenerated, cellulosic molded body ( 102 ) is described. The method comprises: i) supplying a cellulose-comprising starting material ( 101 ) which comprises cellulosic fibers, and treating ( 20 ) the cellulose-comprising starting material ( 101 ), to obtain the treated cellulose-comprising starting material ( 110 ), such that the cellulose fibers of the treated cellulose-comprising starting material ( 110 ) comprises a predetermined fiber length distribution. Furthermore, a method for manufacturing a cellulosic molded body ( 102 ), a treated cellulose-comprising starting material ( 110 ), and a use of used textiles are described.

The invention relates to a method for the production of lyocell staple fibers, comprising the steps in the following order: a) extruding filaments from a solution of cellulose in an organic solvent; b) precipitating the cellulose for the formation of continuous cellulose filaments; c) washing the cellulose filaments; d) contacting the cellulose filaments with a crosslinking agent; e) reacting the cellulose filaments with the crosslinking agent in a reaction chamber; f) washing the treated cellulose filaments; g) cutting the washed cellulose filaments into staple fibers; h) forming a nonwoven fleece from the staple fibers and pressing the nonwoven fleece; and i) finishing the nonwoven fleece and pressing the nonwoven fleece.
