The present invention relates to a gas control device ( 10 ) for a ventilator, comprising a first gas channel ( 11 ) having a non-return valve ( 19 ), a second gas channel ( 12 ) and a switching apparatus ( 13 ), wherein the first gas channel ( 11 ) has an opening ( 14 ) for the outflow of gas with a seal ( 15 ) and a closure cap ( 16 ), wherein the switching apparatus ( 13 ) is configured to guide the gas stream of the first gas channel ( 11 ) past the non-return valve ( 19 ) in the event of a blockage/malfunction of the non-return valve ( 19 ). The present invention also relates to a ventilator comprising a gas control device ( 10 ) according to one of the above-mentioned features.

A harness for a patient interface comprises, at least in some regions, an eyeglass tunnel which is configured and designed to at least partially receive at least one eyeglass arm. The eyeglass tunnel is in the temple portion of the harness, the temple portion being the portion of the harness which, after being placed on a head of a user, extends over a temple region of the head. An exhalation valve comprises a main body comprising a hollow passage with an inlet for receiving respiratory gas from a ventilator and an outlet for supplying respiratory gas to a patient, a branch tube arranged between inlet and outlet and having a free end, an annular channel externally delimited by a wall, surrounding the branch tube and having a free end, at least one outlet opening for respiratory gas exhaled, returned via the outlet and branched off via the branch tube, a cap with a port for attaching a compressed air control line, and a diaphragm arranged at the free ends of the branch tube and the wall, making it possible, for exhaled respiratory gas to pass into the annular channel. The present invention relates to a method for operating a data processing unit of a ventilation device, and also to a ventilation device. Therapy data are registered and stored in a memory unit and at least a part of the therapy data is transmitted with a transmission unit to a network. At least one available radio network is determined with the transmission unit and at least one parameter for a network quality of the network is defined. At least one processing of the therapy data prior to their transmission into the radio network is carried out dynamically with the data processing unit depending on the parameter.

The invention relates to a respiratory gas humidifier having a housing comprising an upper housing part and a lower housing part with a water chamber for humidifying and/or warming up a respiratory gas. The humidifier further comprises a respiratory gas inlet and a respiratory gas outlet, a respiratory gas path for conducting the respiratory gas from the respiratory gas inlet to the respiratory gas outlet being formed between the respiratory gas inlet and outlet. The gas path is guided through the water chamber and comprises a watertight channel for conducting the humidified and/or warmed-up respiratory gas, said channel leading into the water chamber at one end and into the respiratory gas outlet at another end, and being configured such that the respiratory gas outlet is arranged on the lower housing part and/or formed at least partially thereby.

A system for sterilization of a medical device comprising at least one medical device and at least one sterilization device. The sterilization device comprises at least one plasma generator and at least one water source and/or water vapor source for providing water and/or water vapor. The sterilization device is configured to generate plasma-activated water vapor and the system is configured to at least partially conduct the plasma-activated water vapor through the medical device.

The communication unit transmits the values automatically according to one or more permanently programmed and/or freely input time intervals to the telemonitoring unit, which is configured to receive, store, analyze, and/or judge the transmitted values and/or items of information of the respirator and the input unit.
