A method of pressure compensation of a fluid flow parameter is provided. The method comprises receiving a measured pipeline pressure value of a fluid in a pipeline, and determining, based on the measured pipeline pressure value, a pressure for determining a pressure compensated fluid flow parameter value.

An embodiment of a balance bar ( 230 ) is disclosed. The balance bar ( 230 ) comprises a first side portion ( 231 ) having a hollow interior for receiving a flow tube ( 220 ), a central portion ( 233 ) having a hollow interior for receiving a flow tube ( 220 ), and a first side flexible portion ( 234 ) comprising at least one flexible coupler ( 250 ), the first side flexible portion ( 234 ) coupling the first side portion ( 231 ) with the central portion ( 233 ), wherein the first side portion ( 231 ) and the central portion ( 233 ) are both more rigid than the first side flexible portion ( 234 ).

A method of determining vapor pressure of a fluid is provided. The method comprises the step of providing a meter having meter electronics, wherein the meter comprises at least one of a flowmeter and a densitometer. A process fluid is flowed through the meter. A low-pressure location associated with the meter is provided. The pressure of the process fluid is adjusted until flashing is detectable at the low-pressure location. The true vapor pressure of the process fluid is calculated at an instant where flashing is detected.

A system ( 700 ) for using a vapor pressure to determine a concentration of a component in a multi-component fluid is provided. The system ( 700 ) includes an electronics ( 710 ) communicatively coupled to a transducer ( 720 ) configured to sense a multi-component fluid. The electronics ( 710 ) is configured to determine a first vapor pressure, the first vapor pressure being a vapor pressure of a first component of the multi-component fluid, determine a second vapor pressure, the second vapor pressure being a vapor pressure of a second component of the multi-component fluid, and determine a multi-component vapor pressure, the multi-component vapor pressure being a vapor pressure of the multi-component fluid. The electronics ( 710 ) is also configured to determine a concentration of at least one of the first component and the second component based on the multi-component vapor pressure, the first vapor pressure, and the second vapor pressure.

A meter electronics ( 20 ) for using a density measurement of a fluid to verify a vapor pressure is provided. The meter electronics ( 20 ) includes a processing system ( 200 ) communicatively coupled to a meter assembly ( 10 ) having the fluid, the processing system ( 200 ) is configured to determine a vapor pressure of the fluid by detecting a phase change of the fluid in the meter assembly ( 10 ), measure a density of the fluid based on a resonant frequency of the meter assembly ( 10 ), derive a vapor pressure from the measured density, and compare the determined vapor pressure with the derived vapor pressure.

An embodiment of a balance bar ( 230 ) is disclosed. The balance bar ( 230 ) comprises a first side portion ( 231 ) having a hollow interior for receiving a flow tube ( 220 ), a central portion ( 233 ) having a hollow interior for receiving a flow tube ( 220 ), and a first side flexible portion ( 234 ) comprising at least one flexible coupler ( 250 ), the first side flexible portion ( 234 ) coupling the first side portion ( 231 ) with the central portion ( 233 ), wherein the first side portion ( 231 ) and the central portion ( 233 ) are both more rigid than the first side flexible portion ( 234 ).

A method of determining vapor pressure of a fluid is provided. The method comprises the step of providing a meter having meter electronics, wherein the meter comprises at least one of a flowmeter and a densitometer. A process fluid is flowed through the meter. A low-pressure location associated with the meter is provided. The pressure of the process fluid is adjusted until flashing is detectable at the low-pressure location. The true vapor pressure of the process fluid is calculated at an instant where flashing is detected.

A method for detecting a deviation in a flow meter parameter is provided. The method includes measuring a differential pressure across at least a portion of the flow meter, calculating a friction factor based on a measured flow rate and the measured differential pressure. The method also includes comparing the calculated friction factor to an expected friction factor based on the measured flow rate and detecting a deviation in the flow meter parameter if the difference between the calculated friction factor and the expected friction factor exceeds a threshold limit.

A system ( 700 ) for using a vapor pressure to determine a concentration of a component in a multi-component fluid is provided. The system ( 700 ) includes an electronics ( 710 ) communicatively coupled to a transducer ( 720 ) configured to sense a multi-component fluid. The electronics ( 710 ) is configured to determine a first vapor pressure, the first vapor pressure being a vapor pressure of a first component of the multi-component fluid, determine a second vapor pressure, the second vapor pressure being a vapor pressure of a second component of the multi-component fluid, and determine a multi-component vapor pressure, the multi-component vapor pressure being a vapor pressure of the multi-component fluid. The electronics ( 710 ) is also configured to determine a concentration of at least one of the first component and the second component based on the multi-component vapor pressure, the first vapor pressure, and the second vapor pressure.

A vibratory meter ( 5 ) for determining a vapor pressure of a fluid is provided. The vibratory meter ( 5 ) includes a meter assembly ( 10 ) having a fluid, and a meter electronics ( 20 ) communicatively coupled to the meter assembly ( 10 ). The vibratory meter ( 5 ) is configured to determine a vapor pressure of the fluid in the meter assembly ( 10 ) based on a static pressure of the fluid in the meter assembly ( 10 ).
