In one embodiment, an aircraft includes a blended wing body (BWB) and a cargo bay having a polygonal shape. A longitudinal centerline of the aircraft intersects a vertex of the polygonal shape and an interior angle of the vertex.

A computer-implemented method includes generating a workout plan for a user having a user profile. The workout plan includes an exercise selected from a set of exercises stored in the user profile. The exercise has a prescribed weight and a prescribed number of exercise repetitions. The method includes capturing user performance data for the exercise during execution of the workout plan by the user in an exercise environment. The user performance data includes an actual weight used in performance of the exercise and an actual number of exercise repetitions by the user. The method includes determining a new value for the prescribed weight based on a stored value of the prescribed weight in the user profile, the prescribed number of exercise repetitions, and the user performance data. The stored value of the prescribed weight in the user profile is adjusted to the new value for the prescribed weight.

An adjustable dumbbell system may include a base, two or more weights, a handle assembly, an additional weight, and selection assembly. The two or more weights may be supported by the base and grouped into a first set of weights associated with one end of the dumbbell system and a second set of weights associated with an opposing end of the dumbbell system. The handle assembly may be selectively fixedly joined to the first and second set of weights. The additional weight may be disposed distally of the handle assembly. The selection assembly may be secured to the additional weight. The selection assembly may include a selection member that may be linearly moveable between a selected position where the additional weight is operatively secured to the handle assembly and an unselected position where the additional weight is disengaged from the handle assembly.

A sensing base for an adjustable free weight may include a cradle, and a sensing assembly, which includes a plurality of sensors and mechanical components (e.g., pivoting levers), each associated with a respective plate well that accommodates a weight plate of the adjustable free weight such that each mechanical component actuates the state of a respective sensor upon placement or removal of the weight in a plate well. Sensor signals reflecting the states of the sensors are communicated, via a circuit, a processor to determine the weight selection of the adjustable free weight when removed from the base. The sensing assembly may be implemented using individual sensors of a variety of different types such as hall effect sensors, optical interrupt sensors, IR optical sensors, and the like. The base may be configured to automatically communicate the determined weight to an external computing device to facilitate activity tracking and/or fitness coaching.

A rowing machine is disclosed. The rowing machine includes a frame including a base for contact with a support surface and a seat rail supported by the base. The rowing machine includes a seat configured to reciprocate back and forth along the seat rail. The rowing machine includes a rowing engine that includes at least one resistance mechanism rotatably coupled to the frame. The rowing machine includes at least one handle operatively connected to the at least one resistance mechanism, and a paddle linkage assembly operatively connecting the at least one handle to the at least one resistance mechanism such that rearward movement of the handle is resisted by the at least one resistance mechanism.

An exercise machine may include a reciprocating linkage that supports one or more pedals configured to move in a closed loop (e.g., elliptical) path as a user exercises with the machine. The exercise machine may be adjustable to vary a characteristic of the exercise provided by the machine, for example by changing an incline of a rail supporting the reciprocating linkage, and thus an angle of the closed loop path. The exercise machine may vary the incline with a lift mechanism operatively associated with the front upright frame of the machine, which may also support a resistance assembly, all in a compact form factor that may be more aesthetically pleasing and practical for relatively smaller exercise spaces.

A foot support assembly for an exercise machine may be configured for sing-hand operation (e.g., cinching or releasing of the foot strap). The foot support assembly may include a footplate coupled to the frame of the exercise machine and configured to support the user's foot during exercise and a strap coupled to the footplate and configured to resist separation of the user's foot from the footplate. The strap is operatively associated with a quick release ratchet mechanism, which is configured to be unlocked simply by pressing a lever of the ratchet to allow the ratchet strip to reverse, releasing the user's foot from the strap. The foot support assembly may be provided on each side of the seat rail of a rowing machine, which may alternatively or additionally include a multi-grip handle including a plurality of grip portions configured to position the user's hand at different orientations to one another.

An adjustable dumbbell system may include a base, two or more weights, a handle assembly, an additional weight, and selection assembly. The two or more weights may be supported by the base and grouped into a first set of weights associated with one end of the dumbbell system and a second set of weights associated with an opposing end of the dumbbell system. A rowing machine is disclosed. The rowing machine includes a frame including a base for contact with a support surface and a seat rail supported by the base. The rowing machine includes a seat configured to reciprocate back and forth along the seat rail. The rowing machine includes a rowing engine that includes at least one resistance mechanism rotatably coupled to the frame. The rowing machine includes at least one handle operatively connected to the at least one resistance mechanism, and a paddle linkage assembly operatively connecting the at least one handle to the at least one resistance mechanism such that rearward movement of the handle is resisted by the at least one resistance mechanism.
