Examples of a method for installing a mounting bracket to a T-bar of a suspended ceiling are disclosed. A method involves engaging at least one flange hook of a bracket body of a mounting bracket with a first edge of a flange of a T-bar, applying force to a locking mechanism of a toolless locking element of the mounting bracket to free up a slidable piece of the toolless locking element, while the force is applied to the locking mechanism, moving the slidable piece towards a second edge of the flange of the T-bar until a flange hook of the slidable piece engages the second edge of the flange of the T-bar, and after the flange hook of the slidable piece engages the second edge of the flange of the T-bar, releasing the force on the locking mechanism so that the slidable piece is locked in place.

Network events may be mapped to time sequences of network event type identifiers that may be used by an encoder-decoder model to determine if a network device is authentic or is a spoofing device. The network events may fall into broad categories referred to as event types and the time sequence of event types, which includes the timing between events, may be different for authentic devices compared to spoofing devices. An encoder-decoder model may be trained to detect those differences. In an example, training sets may be generated from network event logs and used to train a sequence-to-sequence RNN type encoder-decoder model and thereby produce a trained event-based device identity verification model that may thereafter be deployed for detecting spoofing devices attempting to or having access to a computer network.

Embodiments of a device and method are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method of communications involves at a cloud authentication server, receiving an authentication request of a wireless sensor deployed at a customer site through a wireless access point (AP) to which the wireless sensor is associated, where the authentication request contains a certificate that is stored in the wireless sensor, at the cloud authentication server, performing an authentication operation to determine whether a tenant corresponding to the certificate matches a tenant corresponding to the wireless AP to which the wireless sensor is associated, and at the cloud authentication server, transmitting an authentication response to the wireless sensor through the wireless AP in response to the authentication operation.

Embodiments of a device and method are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method of communications involves at a wireless sensor deployed at a customer site, associating with a wireless access point (AP) using a fixed service set identifier (SSID), at the wireless sensor, transmitting an authentication request to an authentication server through the wireless AP, where the authentication request contains a certificate that is stored in the wireless sensor, and at the wireless sensor, receiving an authentication response from the authentication server through the wireless AP in response to the authentication request.

A channel allocation specification is created that allocates dynamic frequency selection (DFS) channels and non-DFS channels to a plurality of wireless access points. The channel allocation specification is sent to an access point controller that is configured to assign the DFS channels and the non-DFS channels to the wireless access points. Creating the channel allocation specification includes: identifying a first group that includes the wireless access points that provide network access to at least one of a plurality of DFS non-capable clients; prioritizing allocation of the non-DFS channels to the first group of wireless access points; and prioritizing allocation of the non-DFS channels within the first group of wireless access points based on a plurality of prioritization values corresponding to the wireless access points.

Creating a channel allocation specification may require setting dynamic frequency selection (DFS) capability indicators corresponding to a plurality of clients in response to receiving client capability metadata related to those clients. The DFS capability indicators may indicate the clients that are DFS capable clients and the clients that are DFS non-capable clients. The DFS capability indicators may be provided to a channel allocator that is configured to produce a channel allocation specification for a wireless network that includes a plurality of wireless access points configured to use a plurality of DFS channels and a plurality of non-DFS channels to provide network access to the clients, the channel allocation specification based at least in part on the client capability metadata.

Examples of an apparatus and method are disclosed. In an example, a mounting bracket for attaching to a T-bar of a suspended ceiling is disclosed. The mounting bracket includes a bracket body, the bracket body including, multiple keyholes, and at least one flange hook configured to receive a first edge of a flange of the T-bar, a toolless locking element including a slidable piece having a flange hook configured to receive a second edge of the flange of the T-bar, the second edge of the flange of the T-bar being opposite the first edge of the flange of the T-bar, and a locking mechanism that is configured to allow the slidable piece to move parallel to the bracket body when a force is applied to the locking mechanism.

Databases may include records that: associate service providers with location indicators and with service types. A proximity rule may be associated with one of the service types. A discovery request may include location metadata and a service identifier associated with the service type associated with the proximity rule. In response to receiving the discovery request, the proximity rule may be applied to the location metadata and the location indicators to identify a service provider that satisfies the proximity rule and that provides the service indicated by the service identifier. A discovery response that is responsive to the discovery request and that indicates the service provider may be sent in response to the discovery request.

Embodiments of a device and method are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for network segmentation of a network deployed at a customer site involves establishing a tunnel between a network device of the network deployed at the customer site and a network port of a switch of the network deployed at the customer site, when a wired device is plugged into the network port of the switch, transmitting network traffic between the wired device and the network device through the tunnel, facilitating a security operation regarding the wired device, and based on a result of the security operation, performing a network segmentation operation regarding the wired device.
