A bone plate alignment system includes an alignment guide and a bone plate. The alignment guide includes a body portion, a first arm extending from a first side of the body portion, and a second arm extending from a second side of the body portion. The first and second arms extend from the body portion at a substantially oblique angle relative to one another.
