A luminaire is provided, that includes a head having a housing. The head includes a light source that generates heat; one or more motors that generate heat; one or more lubricated surfaces that, when heated, release airborne contaminants; one or more painted surfaces that, when heated, release airborne contaminants; a plurality of lenses; and an adsorptive filter system configured to reduce airborne contaminants in air contacting one or more lenses of the plurality of lenses by pulling contaminated air through the filter system and directing filtered air onto the plurality of lenses.

A luminaire includes a light source configured to generate an emitted light beam and an interchangeable lens subsystem positioned after the light source and before an imaging plane in an optical path of the luminaire. The interchangeable lens subsystem includes a first lens having a first focal length and a second lens having a second focal length. The second focal length is different than the first focal length. In a first configuration of the interchangeable lens subsystem, the first lens is positioned in the emitted light beam, and in a second configuration of the interchangeable lens subsystem, the second lens is positioned in the emitted light beam.

A luminaire includes a light source configured to generate an emitted light beam and a beam reducer configured to move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the beam reducer is outside the emitted light beam, and in the second position, the beam reducer receives the emitted light beam and reflect an outer portion of the emitted light beam to emit a reduced light beam having a smaller beam angle than the emitted light beam. The luminaire also includes an imaging subsystem configured to receive (i) the emitted light beam when the beam reducer is in the first position and (ii) the reduced light beam when the beam reducer is in the second position. The beam reducer is configured to move to the second position in response to a position of the imaging subsystem.

A luminaire includes a first array light engine, a second array light engine, and a control system. The first array light engine includes a plurality of light emitters and first and second lens arrays, each with pluralities of lenslets. Collimation of light rays from the first array light engine varies as the second lens array moves relative to the first lens array. The second array light engine has a linear array of light emitters and a linear lens. Collimation of light rays from the linear lens varies as the linear lens moves relative to the linear array of light emitters. The control system controls a beam angle of the light rays from the first array light engine by moving the second lens array and controls a beam angle of the light rays from the linear lens by moving the linear lens.

A system includes a luminaire having a head configured for rotation relative to a fixed enclosure of the luminaire. The head includes a camera access port. The system also includes a housing for a camera configured to be removably mounted to the camera access port of the luminaire, and a cover plate configured to be removably mounted to the luminaire head to cover the camera access port. When the housing is mounted to the camera access port, the cover plate is removed from the luminaire head.

A luminaire includes an enclosure, an air valve, and a control system. The enclosure includes a light source, an air pressure sensor, a temperature sensor and a first opening and is otherwise sealed from external air. The enclosure may include components that modify and emit a light beam. The air valve is coupled at a second opening to the enclosure and includes a membrane covering a third opening. The membrane reduces the passage of water droplets in air passing therethrough. The air valve blocks air passage between the enclosure and the membrane when closed and allows air passage when open. The control system determines whether the enclosure is adequately sealed based on air pressure as sensed by the air pressure sensor and a temperature as sensed by the temperature sensor.

A luminaire system includes a luminaire having a yoke configured for rotation relative to a fixed enclosure of the luminaire. The yoke includes a yoke arm having a pair of handle sockets, each having an interior profile. The system also includes a removable handle having a body including a pair of body plates and a grip extending therebetween; a respective pair of handle hooks coupled to each body plate, and configured to engage a corresponding one of the handle sockets; a respective sliding plate coupled to and configured to slide along each body plate between a locked and an unlocked configuration, where a locking tongue is coupled to each sliding plate and is configured to extend from a proximal end of the removable handle to engage the interior profile of the handle socket in the locked configuration; and a pull bar coupled to each sliding plate and/or each locking tongue.

A luminaire includes a light source configured to generate an emitted light beam and a beam reducer configured to move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the beam reducer is outside the emitted light beam, and in the second position, the beam reducer receives the emitted light beam and reflect an outer portion of the emitted light beam to emit a reduced light beam having a smaller beam angle than the emitted light beam. The luminaire also includes an imaging subsystem configured to receive (i) the emitted light beam when the beam reducer is in the first position and (ii) the reduced light beam when the beam reducer is in the second position. The beam reducer is configured to move to the second position in response to a position of the imaging subsystem.

A luminaire includes a first array light engine, a second array light engine, and a control system. The first array light engine includes a plurality of light emitters and first and second lens arrays, each with pluralities of lenslets. Collimation of light rays from the first array light engine varies as the second lens array moves relative to the first lens array. The second array light engine has a linear array of light emitters and a linear lens. Collimation of light rays from the linear lens varies as the linear lens moves relative to the linear array of light emitters. The control system controls a beam angle of the light rays from the first array light engine by moving the second lens array and controls a beam angle of the light rays from the linear lens by moving the linear lens.
