A card-handling device and related methods may be configured to recognize unreadable cards and move the unreadable cards to a designated position.

The card imaging device may be configured to identify a non-conforming card. There is provided a gaming machine and method that utilize a presentation assembly configured to present a plurality of reels, an array, and a prize board. The reels bear prize symbols. The prize board includes prizes and associated collection registers. The prize symbols are associated with respective ones of the prizes. Game-logic circuitry is configured to spin and stop the reels to land symbols from the reels in the array and update the register for the prize that is associated with any landed prize symbol. In response to none of the updated registers being filled, the game-logic circuitry is configured to hold the landed prize symbols in place in the array and repeat the above operations until any of the updated registers are filled, at which time the prizes associated with the filled registers are awarded.

Disclosed is a system and method of conducting a wagering game including displaying a plurality of symbols to indicate a randomly selected outcome of a wagering game in a display area and determining one or more award amounts for the randomly selected outcome. The one or more award amounts are based on the wager and the symbols of the randomly selected outcome. Upon the appearance of a variable “win-boost” symbol, which has no predetermined value, in the randomly selected outcome, the method further includes determining an initial amount based on the one or more award amounts, comparing the initial total award to a maximum award associated with the win-boost symbol and assigning the difference to the win-boost symbol. The initial total award and the difference are summed to create a final award equivalent to the maximum award.

There is provided a gaming system, gaming machine, and method that utilize game-logic circuitry and a presentation assembly configured to present symbol positions and award options including award indicia, and further to present: (i) a game outcome by populating the symbol positions with symbols, and (ii) in response to the symbols including at least one trigger symbol and at least one award symbol, an award sequence comprising a cycle for each trigger symbol, each cycle of the award sequence including: selecting a respective one or more award options for each award symbol, updating award indicia for each award symbol based on the award value associated with the respective selected award options, aggregating award values indicated by the updated award indicia of the award symbols, and, in response to determining the award sequence includes one or more remaining cycles, removing the updated award indicia from the award symbols.
