Controllers for dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally comprise a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more patches. A controller is in communication with the one or more strips and is programmable to monitor a temperature of the one or more strips to provide a treatment therapy above a threshold temperature of, e.g., 39° C., and below a maximum temperature of, e.g., 48° C., over a treatment period of 12 minutes.

The present disclosure relates to intraocular implants for treating a condition of the eye, wherein the implant is configured to deliver a drug to the eye. The present disclosure also relates to methods of treating a condition of the eye by delivering a drug from intraocular implants to the posterior chamber (e.g., sulcus), iridocorneal angle, sclera, cornea, limbus, and vitreous.

Described here are systems and methods for accessing Schlemm's canal and for delivering an ocular device or fluid composition therein. The ocular devices may maintain the patency of Schlemm's canal without substantially interfering with transmural fluid flow across the canal. The fluid composition may be a viscoelastic fluid that is delivered into the canal to facilitate drainage of aqueous humor by disrupting the canal and surrounding trabeculocanalicular tissues. Tools for disrupting these tissues and minimally invasive methods for treating medical conditions associated with elevated intraocular pressure, including glaucoma, are also described.

Devices, methods and kits are described for reducing intraocular pressure. The devices include a support that is implantable within Schlemm's canal and maintains the patency of the canal without substantially interfering with transmural fluid flow across the canal. The devices utilize the natural drainage process of the eye and can be implanted with minimal trauma to the eye. Kits include a support and an introducer for implanting the support within Schlemm's canal. Methods include implanting a support within Schlemm's canal, wherein the support is capable of maintaining the patency of the canal without substantial interference with transmural fluid flow across the canal.

Provided herein are methods and devices for grasping and/or tearing trabecular meshwork of an eye of a subject. The devices may include a shaft and a tissue grabber coupled to the shaft. The tissue grabber may include an elongate lower foot configured to be inserted into Schlemm's canal, and a groove configured to grasp a portion of the trabecular meshwork. The methods may include: advancing a tissue grabber to Schlemm's canal of the eye, wherein the tissue gripper comprises a lower foot and a tissue grabbing region; advancing a tip of the lower foot through the trabecular meshwork and into Schlemm's canal; and advancing the lower foot within and relative to Schlemm's canal, wherein as the lower foot is advanced, a portion of the trabecular enters the tissue gripping region, is torn from surrounding tissue, and is collected within the tissue gripping region.

Systems for eye treatment are disclosed where the system generally includes a housing defining a receiving channel and a first flexible support extending from the housing and having a first heating strip at a distal end of the first flexible support, wherein a proximal portion of the first flexible support defines a curved or bent portion which orients the first heating strip to extend in a first direction. The system also includes a second flexible support extending from the housing and having a second heating strip at a distal end of the second flexible support, wherein a proximal portion of the second flexible support defines a curved or bent portion which orients the second heating strip in a second direction. The flexible supports may further define a distal curved or bent portion proximal to the heating strips such that the heating strips are positioned to extend away from one another.

Disclosed herein are devices for delivering fluid to an eye. The device may include a handle comprising a fluid assembly at least partially contained therein, the fluid assembly comprising a fluid reservoir, a plunger tube, and a displacement rod, where the plunger tube and displacement rod are configured to move relative to the fluid reservoir to deliver fluid during advancement of an elongate member. The device includes a cannula coupled to a distal end of a handle, and the elongate member slidably positioned within the handle. The handle includes a drive assembly where actuation of the drive assembly moves the plunger tube and the displacement rod in opposite directions during advancement of the elongate member. The drive assembly also comprises a first linear gear and a second linear gear, where the first linear gear is configured to move in a direction opposite the second linear gear.

Moreover, the one or more strips may be configured to emit energy to the underlying region of skin and where the one or more strips are shaped to follow a location of one or more meibomiam glands contained within the underlying region of skin.
