A liquid jet head and so on capable of enhancing the convenience while reducing the cost are provided. The liquid jet head according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a jet section including a plurality of nozzles and a plurality of pressure chambers individually communicated with the plurality of nozzles, and a single drive circuit or a plurality of drive circuits configured to generate a drive signal for jetting a liquid from the nozzle based on image data defining a drive waveform and an additional signal. In at least one drive circuit out of the single drive circuit or the plurality of drive circuits, the drive signals having the drive waveforms of a plurality of types defined by the additional signal are configured to be respectively generated based on the same image data and to be output to the jet section.

A flexible board and so on the manufacturing cost of which can be reduced, and the reliability of which can be improved are provided. The flexible board according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a flexible board configured to transmit electric signals to be applied to a liquid jet head having a plurality of nozzles, and includes a terminal section disposed in an end region on a board surface, and including a single electrode terminal or a plurality of electrode terminals as a part to electrically be coupled to another member. The electrode terminal is disposed in the end region at a distance from an outer shape position of the board surface via a non-electrode region.

A liquid jet head and so on cost reduction of which can be achieved are provided. The liquid jet head according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a jet section including a plurality of nozzles, and a single drive board or a plurality of drive boards configured to output drive signals for jetting the liquid from the nozzles based on a differential signal supplied from a print control unit outside the liquid jet head. The drive board includes a single drive device or a plurality of drive devices configured to generate the drive signals based on the differential signal. The drive device includes a signal conversion unit configured to perform signal conversion processing on the differential signal to thereby generate a single-ended signal including print data and a data clock, and a signal generation unit configured to generate the drive signals base on the print data and the data clock, and to use the data clock as a first clock configured to define a unit period in drive waveforms of the drive signals.

Head chips, liquid jet heads, and liquid jet recording devices capable of effectively transferring the elastic energy to ink in ejection channels to obtain desired ejection performance are provided. A head chip includes an actuator plate in which jet channels and non-jet channels are alternately arranged, a side-surface common electrode formed on inner side surfaces opposed to each other in a second direction out of inner surfaces of the jet channel, a bottom-surface common electrode formed on a bottom surface facing to a first side in a thickness direction out of the inner surfaces of the jet channel, a first individual electrode formed on inner side surfaces opposed to each other in the second direction out of inner surfaces of the non-jet channel, and a second individual electrode disposed on an opposite surface facing to a second side in the thickness direction out of the actuator plate.

There are provided a head chip, a liquid jet head, a liquid jet recording device, and a method of manufacturing the head chip each capable of achieving a reduction in size in a direction perpendicular to the ejection direction while ensuring the desired ejection performance. The head chip according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a first ejection section, a jet hole plate arranged at a first side in a first direction of the first ejection section, a return plate which has a plurality of first communication channels configured to individually communicate a plurality of first jet channels and a plurality of first jet holes with each other, and which is arranged between the first ejection section and the jet hole plate in the first direction, and a flow channel plate which has a plurality of first connecting channels individually communicated with the plurality of first communication channels to constitute first return channels together with the corresponding first communication channels, and a manifold communicated in a lump with the plurality of first connecting channels, and which is arranged at a second side in the third direction of the first ejection section.

A head chip, a liquid jet head, and a liquid jet recording apparatus each capable of suppressing short circuit between a common electrode and an individual electrode are provided. The head chip according to the present disclosure includes an actuator plate which has a first surface facing a plurality of pressure chambers containing a liquid, and a second surface facing an opposite side to the pressure chambers with respect to the first surface in a thickness direction, and in which a recessed portion is provided on at least one surface out of the first surface and the second surface, a common electrode provided to the first surface, and configured to function as a reference potential, and an individual electrode provided to the second surface which is a surface other than the first surface, and configured to generate a potential difference relative to the common electrode to generate an electric field in the actuator plate. An electrode which is one of the common electrode and the individual electrode and is provided to the one surface is provided on at least an inner surface of the recessed portion.

A failure in conduction due to broken line of an electrode formed in a non-jet channel is suppressed to enhance the reliability of driving. A head chip includes an actuator plate in which ejection channels filled with ink and non-ejection channels not filled with the ink each extend in a Y-axis direction, and are alternately formed across a drive wall in an X-axis direction, a common electrode formed on an inner surface of the ejection channel, and an individual electrode formed on an inner surface of the non-ejection channel, wherein a first principal surface facing to a −Z side in the actuator plate includes an individual electrode feeding part disposed at a −Y side of a first opening and configured to supply drive power to a pair of individual electrodes located across the ejection channel in the X-axis direction, and a bypass interconnection disposed at a +Y side of the first opening, and configured to couple the pair of individual electrodes to each other.

A cooling efficiency is increased. An inkjet head is provided with a head main body for jetting ink, a cooling pipe which has corrosion resistance to the ink, and through which the ink for cooling a drive circuit passes, and a cooling member which has higher thermal conductivity than that of the cooling pipe, in which at least a part of the cooling pipe is embedded, and which has recessed parts in at least a part of a portion surrounding the cooling pipe.

A head chip, a liquid jet head, and a liquid jet recording devices each capable of increasing the generated pressure while achieving an increase in manufacturing efficiency and yield ratio are provided. The head chip includes a flow channel member provided with a pressure chamber containing a liquid, an actuator plate on the flow channel member in a state of being opposed in a first direction to the pressure chamber, and a drive electrode configured to deform the actuator plate in the first direction to change a volume of the pressure chamber. A recessed part is formed in a portion of the actuator plate, the portion overlapping the pressure chamber when viewed from the first direction. The drive electrode includes a first electrode formed on an inner surface of the recessed part, and a first opposed electrode which is formed on an upper surface of the actuator plate.

A head chip, a liquid jet head, and a liquid jet recording device which effectively transfer elastic energy to ink in a pressure chamber to increase pressure to be generated in the pressure chamber are provided. The head chip according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes an actuator plate provided with a pressure chamber in which a liquid is contained, a jet hole plate which has a jet hole communicated with the pressure chamber, and which is overlapped on the actuator plate in a thickness direction of the actuator plate, and a drive electrode which is configured to generate an electric field in the actuator plate to thereby deform the actuator plate in the thickness direction and a crossing direction crossing the thickness direction to expand or contract a volume of the pressure chamber.
