A humidifier includes a housing, a water reservoir configured to hold a quantity of water, a fan assembly configured to generate an air flow path within the humidifier, a sanitizing system, and a wick assembly. The sanitizing system is configured to generate a sanitizing gas and to transfer the sanitizing gas to the water reservoir such that at least a portion of the sanitizing gas is absorbed into the water in the water reservoir. The wick assembly is fluidly configured to receive water from the water reservoir and transfer the water into the air flow path to generate humidified air. The water received by the wick assembly includes at least a portion of the sanitizing gas absorbed into the water, wherein at least a portion of the water received by wick assembly flows back to the water reservoir.

A disinfection device may include a disinfection chamber, an ozone generator configured to generate ozonated air, and a humidifier assembly configured to generate humidified ozonated air and configured to be fluidly coupled to the disinfection chamber. The humidifier assembly may include a humidification chamber configured to receive the ozonated air, a liquid reservoir, a dispersal module selectively removably coupled to the humidifier assembly, the dispersal module includes a liquid disperser, and a dispersal door configured to pivot between an open position and a closed position, wherein the dispersal door is configured to couple the dispersal module to the humidifier assembly when in the closed position.

A disinfection device may include a disinfection chamber, a device controller, an ozone generator configured to generate ozonated air, and a humidifier assembly configured to encourage a mixing of the ozonated air with humidity. The humidifier assembly may include a humidification chamber that includes a humidification chamber outlet, a chamber housing, a chamber base coupled to the chamber housing, and chamber electrical connectors electrically coupled to the device controller and a liquid reservoir that includes a liquid container and a reservoir lid removably coupled to the liquid container, the reservoir lid including a piezo-electric atomizer and lid electrical connectors configured to selectively electrically couple with the chamber electrical connectors.

A method of sanitizing at least a portion of a medical device with a sanitization system comprising a base comprising a sanitizing chamber, a sanitizing gas generator, a primary fan or pump, a secondary fan or pump, and a controller. The sanitizing operation comprising generating a sanitizing gas pulse including causing the sanitizing gas generator supplying a sanitizing gas and causing at least one of the primary fan or pump and the secondary fan or pump to operate for a pulse period, and conducting a dwell operation after the pulse period, the dwell operation comprising discontinuing supply of said sanitizing gas and slowing or stopping said primary fan or pump and said secondary fan or pump for a dwell time.

The present invention is generally related to a device and method for sanitizing a medical instrument with ozone, in particular the invention relates to a system, method and a device for sanitizing a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device. The device has an ozone compartment, an ozone operating system and one or more ozone distribution lines that distribute ozone to a continuous positive airway pressure device. The device may further include a heater adapter unit to connect heating systems in CPAP devices while distributing ozone to sanitize the CPAP device in accordance with the present invention.

Technologies (e.g., devices, systems and methods) for sanitizing positive airway pressure (PAP) systems are described. In some embodiments, the technologies include a PAP delivery system comprising a hose and a PAP mask, a positive pressure supply system configured to generate a flow of pressurized air which is delivered to a user through the hose to the PAP mask of the PAP delivery system, a sanitizing system configured to sanitize one or more components of the self-sanitizing PAP system, and a PAP base unit housing, wherein one or more components of the positive pressure supply system and the sanitizing system are disposed at least partially within the PAP base unit housing.

A disinfection device may include a disinfection chamber, a device controller, an ozone generator configured to generate ozonated air, and a humidifier assembly configured to encourage a mixing of the ozonated air with humidity. A disinfection device may include a disinfection chamber, an ozone generator configured to generate ozone, and a humidifier configured to generate humidity and configured to be fluidly coupled to the disinfection chamber and the ozone generator, the humidifier being configured to encourage a mixing of generated ozone with generated humidity.
