A fire pit a removable fire grate and a removable ash pan. The removable fire grate is positioned within a burn chamber and supports combustible fuel for burning. The removable fire grate includes a plurality of holes sized to permit passage of ash from the combustible fuel, and at least one grip feature sized and shaped to permit a user to remove the removable fire grate from the fire pit by lifting the removable fire grate vertically through the burn chamber. The removable ash pan is positioned within the burn chamber beneath the removable fire grate, and includes, a side wall, a bottom, and at least one grippable surface configured to permit the user to remove the removable ash pan from the fire pit by lifting the removable ash pan vertically through the burn chamber.

The present fire pit system includes a fire pit stand including a body including a plurality of openings, wherein the walls of a fire pit body can rest upon the fire pit stand. The fire pit stand protects below surfaces (e.g., floor, ground, etc.) from high heat. The openings in the fire pit stand increase airflow. The fire pit stand fits inside the fire pit body creating a portable unit. When the fire pit is being assembled, the fire pit stand can be removed from inside the fire pit body, placed on the ground, and the fire pit body can be placed on top of the fire pit stand.

Disclosed is a stove that includes a dome-shaped fire grate comprising a center, a perimeter surrounding and spaced from the center, the center being higher than the perimeter; a plurality of radial stiffening ribs extending away from the perimeter and toward the center; at least one circumferential stiffening ring extending at least partially about the center; and a plurality of ventilation holes between the center and the perimeter.

A heat deflector is disclosed that includes a first portion having a first outer edge and a center and a first surface extending from the first outer edge to the center of the first portion. The first surface sloping downward from the first outer edge toward the center of the first portion. The heat deflector further includes a second portion having an inner edge and an outer edge. The inner edge of the second portion is adjacent to the first outer edge of the first portion. A stand is provided for elevating a portable stove above a surface. The stand includes a plurality of legs. Each leg includes an outer link connected by a hinge. The outer link is thus movable to a position extending radially outward. Each leg also includes a foot coupled to the outer link.
