An information processing system is configured such that a printer is connected through USB to a host device that executes a web application, and a BCR is also connected to the printer through USB. The information processing system is configured to: perform serial communication between the host device and the printer via a virtual serial port; and using, as a trigger, when the printer receives, from the BCR, acquisition data acquired by the BCR; and transmit the peripheral device acquisition data from the printer to the host device via the virtual serial port. This enables the printer to actively transmit the peripheral device acquisition data to the host device with no time lag at the time when the printer receives the peripheral device acquisition data from the BCR.

An NC lathe 1 for machining a work W includes a housing 11, a chip bucket 8 that is placed inside of the housing 11 in order to receive chips produced when the work W is machined, an opening formation portion 112 that is provided in the housing 11 and has an opening 1121 formed therein through which the chip bucket 8 can be pulled out to the outside of the housing 11, and an opening cover 15 that is detachably attached to the housing 11 so as to close the opening 1121 in an attached state attached to the housing 11, wherein the opening formation portion 112 has a slit 1122 that is formed continuously with the opening 1121 so as to extend in a width direction of the opening 1121, and that allows the opening cover 15 removed from the housing 11 to be inserted into the housing 11.

A control unit of a machine tool: acquires a value (CD) representing a diameter corresponding to a periphery when a hole is viewed from a direction of a machining center axis (X-axis direction) and a value (OD) representing a diameter corresponding to a circumference passing through the periphery around a spindle axis on a cross section perpendicular to the spindle axis; determines a straight axis coordinate corresponding to a cutting position that changes along the periphery on a straight axis (Z-axis) and a rotation angle corresponding to the cutting position on a rotation axis (C-axis) based on the value (CD) and the value (OD); and controls a relative positional relationship in the direction of the spindle axis (Z-axis direction) to the straight axis coordinate and controls rotation of a spindle to the rotation angle so that the cutting position changes along the periphery.

A controller of a machine tool acquires coordinates of a first machining start point of an eccentric shape in a reference phase of a workpiece around a spindle axis, a second machining start point in an anti-phase, a first machining end point in the reference phase, and a second machining end point in the anti-phase. The controller decides a moving path of the tool in association with rotation of the workpiece at least according to the coordinates of the first start point, the second start point, the first end point, and the second end point to form the eccentric shape around an eccentric axis passing a start point origin between the first start point and the second start point and an end point origin between the first end point and the second end point and thereby controls movement of the tool in association with rotation of the workpiece.

A controller of a machine tool determines in accordance with a machining program whether a first tool post is used to machine an unfinished workpiece. When the unfinished workpiece needs machining before terminating a continuous machining and when the controller determines that the first tool post is used to machine the unfinished workpiece W 2 , the controller simultaneously advances a first system and a second system in accordance with the machining program while preventing machining a workpiece held by the first spindle. When the controller determines that the first tool post is not used to machine the unfinished workpiece, the controller stops the first system and advances the second system in accordance with the machining program.
