The disclosure relates to a method for printing a paper web with a print motif by means of a digital printing facility, wherein the method includes the following steps: providing a digital print template, which contains digital information on the print motif, and a target tone value of a color of the print motif; printing onto a surface of the paper web by means of the digital printing facility on the basis of the print template; determining at least one actual tone value of the color at at least one point of the printed surface; comparing the determined actual tone value with the target tone value; and correcting the tone value in the digital information of the print template on the basis of the results of the comparison.

The disclosure relates to a method for detecting deviations of extension of decorations on printed decorative papers, the method includes the following steps: providing the printed decorative paper on a sample table, projecting a target pattern onto the sample table and the printed decorative paper such that a distance between two predetermined pattern elements of the projected target pattern corresponds to a target distance between at least two predetermined decorative elements of the decoration, determining deviations between the actual distance of the decorative elements and the distance between the projected pattern elements.

The disclosure relates to a method for printing a decoration to be printed onto a plurality of print surfaces by digital printing equipment. The disclosure relates to a method for producing a circumferential packaging for a paper roll. The paper roll has a wound paper web and two opposing end faces and a circumferential surface that connected the end faces to each other. The method includes the following steps: applying a protective material in liquid form to an end section of the paper web by at least one application unit, the protective material being applied to one of two sides of the end section of the paper web, winding up the end section of the paper web, so that the end section forms at least one outer layer of the paper roll, and curing the protective material, resulting in a protective layer that covers the circumferential surface.

The invention relates to a planar material, comprising lignocellulose fibers and binding agents. In order to provide a planar material that using fibers has reduced swelling, it is provided that the proportion of the binding agent has more than 50 wt % of the planar material. The disclosure relates to a method for printing a paper by a digital printing system which has a plurality of ink application units for applying printing ink of different colours to the paper. The paper to be printed is guided past the ink application units in a feed direction. The digital printing system has a device which is designed and suitable for preventing or reducing the formation of condensation on the ink application units, and this device is used to prevent or reduce the formation of condensation on the ink application units. The device has a temperature-control device and an electrical controller, wherein the temperature-control device is designed to influence a temperature of the ink application units, and the electrical controller is designed to control the temperature-control device in such a way that the ink application units have different temperatures. The temperatures of the ink application units increase in the feed direction and temperatures of two adjacent ink application units differ by at least 0.5° C. and by at most 1.5° C. The temperatures of the first ink application unit in the feed direction and of the last ink application unit in the feed direction differ by at most 10° C.
