A modular furniture system comprising a front support, rear support, left support, right support, and an indexing foot. The front and rear support are configured to engage with pins that enable the left and right support to suspend from and be supported by the front and rear support. The indexing foot is configured to selectively couple with one or more of the front support, rear support, left support, and right support.

A furniture base assembly is described in which a seat base defines a through cavity extending between opposite open ends. A seat pan is positionable at a top end of the cavity to provide a seating surface. A storage device, such as a container or a false floor, is receivable within the through cavity and is configured to establish a storage space below the seating surface. In certain embodiments, the storage device can hang from an upper region of the seat base or can be supported near a lower region of the seat base. The storage device can include an open-topped bin, a planar floor, or a molded structure that selectively closes off a lower portion of the through cavity. In additional embodiments, the seat pan can be arranged in multiple orientations, including pitched seating configurations, while the removable component remains installed within the seat base.

The present disclosure relates to modular seating assemblies configured to provide ergonomic pitched seating and improved construction. A seating assembly includes a base with a central frame, side panels, and corner pillars, where the seat base defines multiple engagement surfaces or shelves for selectively supporting a seat pan. The seat pan can be re-engaged with the base in various orientations to provide level or pitched seating configurations without mechanical adjustment mechanisms. In certain embodiments, the assembly includes an outer cover with inserts for alignment, bi-directional suspension within the seat pan, and soft-edge or modular connection features that allow coupling between adjacent bases.

Back and seat cushioning systems for ergonomic and adjustable seating are disclosed. The system includes a back cushion and a seat cushion, each configured for zoned comfort adjustment through the use of removable inserts, members, chambers, pouches, or cavities that allow independent control of firmness and support across different zones of the cushions. The back cushion can include one or more chambers or pouches configured to receive fill materials or inserts. The seat cushion can include a body with cavities or recesses configured to receive removable inserts or secondary cushioning members, or multiple foam layers of varying density to provide graduated support. Through selective placement or replacement of inserts or materials, a user or manufacturer can tailor the ergonomic performance, firmness, and contour of the seating system to accommodate individual preferences and applications.

The present disclosure relates to modular seating assemblies configured to provide ergonomic pitched seating and improved construction. The suspension system is configured to provide support under users without any hard edges being present under a plurality of cushions. Further, the suspension system can be lifted or rotated upwards to allow access to a storage system. The modular furniture systems of the present disclosure can be customized to meet a specific aesthetic based on the cushions, left support, and right support selected.

An electronic furniture assembly of the present invention includes: (i) a furniture assembly comprising: (A) a base (e.g., a seat portion), (B) at least one transverse or upright member (e.g., a side, armrest or backrest), and (ii) a speaker system mounted within one or more portions of the furniture assembly. A method of tuning a speaker of an audio-enhanced furniture system includes presenting a user with predetermined tuning profiles corresponding to a plurality of configuration footprint shapes in which the furniture assembly can be assembled and in response to a user selection of a given configuration footprint shape, tuning the speaker system according to the tuning profile selected by the user.

An electronic furniture assembly of the present invention includes: (i) a furniture assembly comprising: (A) a base (e.g., a seat portion), (B) at least one transverse or upright member (e.g., a side, armrest or backrest), and (ii) a speaker system mounted within one or more portions of the furniture assembly. A method of tuning a speaker of an audio-enhanced furniture system includes presenting a user with predetermined tuning profiles corresponding to a plurality of configuration footprint shapes in which the furniture assembly can be assembled and in response to a user selection of a given configuration footprint shape, tuning the speaker system according to the tuning profile selected by the user.

A furniture console having a base and at least one of a lighting device selectively mounted to the base, a first charging device supported by the base, a thermal energy transfer assembly configured to heat or cool a first container selectively mounted to the base, and an electricity storage assembly mounted within the base, the electricity storage assembly being configured to power the furniture console. A control assembly configured to control operation of the at least one of the lighting device, the first charging device, and the thermal energy transfer assembly.

An audio-enhanced furniture system comprises: a furniture assembly having a partially acoustically transparent material, such as an upholstery fabric or a perforated, rigid structure that is perforated in order to be more acoustically transparent; and a speaker system positioned within the furniture assembly, the speaker system including a speaker covered by the partially acoustically transparent material. The speaker is configured to be tuned to compensate for sound being emitted from the speaker through the perforated partially acoustically transparent material.
