A building panel including a balancing layer, the balancing layer including a first wood veneer having a grain direction, a first sub-layer is arranged on a top surface of the balancing layer, the first sub-layer including a first binder, a core arranged on the first sub-layer, a surface layer arranged on the core, the surface layer, wherein a top surface of the surface layer is adapted to be a visible surface of the building panel when installed, wherein an extension of the balancing layer in a direction parallel to the grain direction of the first wood veneer is equal or less than an extension of the core in the direction parallel to the grain direction of the first wood veneer, and wherein the balancing layer is arranged within the extension of the core in the direction parallel to the grain direction of the first wood veneer.

A method to produce a wear resistant foil, including providing a first foil including a first thermoplastic material, applying wear resistant particles on the first foil, applying a second foil including a second thermoplastic material on the first foil, and adhering the first foil and the second foil to each other to form a wear resistant foil.

The disclosure relates to building panels, such as floor panels, including a locking device. The locking device includes a protrusion and a groove configured to cooperate for vertical locking of a first edge portion of a first building panel to an adjacent second edge portion of a second building panel. The locking device further includes a separate tongue arranged in an insertion groove and a recess configured to cooperate for horizontal locking of the first and the second edge portions. The first and second edge portions are configured to be assembled by a relative essentially horizontal displacement and/or by angling. The insertion groove is provided vertically below at least one horizontal plane extending along a vertical locking surface provided in a third edge portion of the first building panel.

Building panels including a locking system for locking of a first edge portion to an adjacent second edge portion. The locking system includes a tongue and a tongue groove configured to cooperate for vertical locking. The tongue groove includes an upper and a lower lip protruding horizontally beyond the upper lip. In a locked state of the building panels an outer end portion of a lower vertical locking surface of the tongue is provided horizontally closer than an outer end portion of an upper vertical locking surface of the upper lip to a locking element provided on a strip extending beyond an upper portion of the first edge portion. A set of panels including a first panel with a first main plane and a second panel with a second main plane with a second main surface. The first and second main planes are essentially perpendicular in a locked position. The first and the second panel include a locking device for locking a first edge of the first panel to a second edge of the second panel. The locking device includes an edge groove wherein the edge groove includes a tongue, which is configured to cooperate with a tongue groove of the first panel, in a locked position, for locking the first and the second edges in a first direction which is perpendicular to the first main plane. A first groove surface of the edge groove cooperate with second main surface to lock the first and second panel in a second direction which is perpendicular to the second main plane.

A set of panels including a first and a second panel, an edge of the second panel is insertable into a groove of the first panel, when the panels are arranged essential perpendicular to each other, to obtain a mechanical connection between the first and the second panel, when the second panel is displaced essentially perpendicularly to the first panel.
